I'd previously been waking up with an achy back, having to do morning stretches to work out the kinks. The first night sleeping on the Purple mattress, I noticed that my back felt great, and I just got up without any discomfort. My husband, also, was having problems with back spasms, and has not had any back complaints after our switch to the Purple. The feel of the mattress is very comfortable - feels super soft, squishy if you kneel on it, but lying flat you feel nicely supported. Also, it doesn't feel like it traps heat like foam - I'd say temperature wise it's about the same as our previous standard mattress. I was a little worried that the edges would be too squishy and would collapse if you sit on the edge, but actually it's not a problem - less firm on the edge than a standard mattress, but is fine to sit on. I was also worried about the weight, since I read so many people comment on how heavy it is. But we didn't have any trouble getting it on the bed, and I'd say it's no heavier than our previous queen size mattress, which is quite heavy. Though I can imagine it would be hard to move around a lot due to the less structured materials. To sum up, we're really happy with this purchase, it's been worth every penny.

So I'm first going to say - this is NOT a bad review because of a lack of adjustment period. We bought 2 of the Twin XL's Purple 3's for our dual side adjustable king bed. This is not cheap - but my husband is a chonic pain patient specifically for his back. We loved the Purple ads - and were lucky enough to only be about 30 min from their Alpine UT showroom - so we felt better about Purple because we could actually test it out. We'd bought normal "store beds" before - always ended up hating them - but I was really worried about getting a "bed in a box" that we couldn't test. Yes - you can ship it back with most companies - but that seems like a HUGE pain! So we actually got to test it first and it was a dream! We got them and it was no different at home! Hands down the BEST mattress we'd ever had - and even though it was more than I initially wanted to spend, I regretted NONE of it! My husband was even in significantly less pain! Then... We woke up from that dream. These were perfect for a little over a year. Then my husband kept saying he felt like the coils were sticking in his back. Sure enough - it seems like at least one of them has gone on it's side, and is nearly tucked under the grid. So for that side near the edge - it's like he's laying on a spring covered with a thin cloth. I unzipped the main cover - and tried to turn the coil - no love. I tried to pull back up the edge of the grid - but I realzied, I can't really tell what's going on under there - and won't until I cut the fabric - which we haven't done yet... I bought some mattress pads to at least cover that more for now - and keep searching for anyone that might have had this problem and found a fix to it without cutting into the mattress (under the main cover of course). So far, nobody. A felt like, "Well, it's still an awesome bed - maybe just this one had an issue..." Then mine started to do the same thing, near the edge of the foot of the bed. If I flip around - my arm is laying on a freaking spring. And now we're starting to feel other places. Again - I can't even tell you what's going on - just somewhere near the edges - it's like a spring (coil) turned to the side, and the "grid" no longer covers it - and we can't wedge them back up. My hubs contacted Purple to see what to do, and got a big ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I'm super disapointed - because it's not that we didn't like the bed - but for the kind of money these cost? Just over a year isn't worth it. So now I'm trying to decide if I just cut into the under-fabric until I can see it all and then try and sew it back up later - or... if we just get something different. I just expected more.

I had cervical spine surgery at 25 years old. I have since had consistent trouble finding support for both my back and neck. Prior to Purple, I had a firm pillowtop California king sized mattress. It was a nice mattress; however, I increasingly noticed I would wake up fatigued and completely run down before the early afternoon. I'm not kidding when I say I noticed a vast difference in my energy levels within the FIRST WEEK. My sleep has much more quality now. When looking at the pros and cons of Purple vs my old mattress- the only thing I miss is the five seconds of "ahhhh" when laying on a pillow top. I DO NOT miss for a second what that did to my body. I plan to get a seat for my office chair and can't wait to see if Purple develops other products in the future.

I would never have considered myself a 'mattress diva' before owning this Purple mattress, yet I can honestly say that I've kind of become one now! I sleep better, I feel 'safe' that I'm spending such a good portion of my l24 hours on something that is good for me. I am comfortable, and I feel kind of ' pampered' by all the science that went into this mattress. I thought about it for a long time, because I am thrifty, and I wasn't too disappointed with my regular old mattress I bought 8 years ago. Yet my husband was never a big fan of it. He found it uncomfortable. So I bought some memory foam for it. That made him feel too heated. Even though I was okay with the old one, I wanted something that he would like. And he does! He sleeps more sound, and wakes feeling more rested. I am feeling that it was a good health investment, and I'm glad that I did it.

After struggling for the past year with neck and shoulder pain I finally decided to take a chance on a new bed. I also bought the purple power base and purple pillow. I worried about buyer's remorse but there is no remorse here! I no longer wake up with numbness or pain in my shoulders and neck. The anti-snore position has saved my breathing and allowed me to sleep on my back for the first time in a long time! I can comfortably switch from side or back sleep without the aid of 5 + pillows. Purple bed is a sleep saver and pillow saver!

My wife and I had high hopes for the purple, but found it too firm in seemingly the wrong ways. It felt somewhere near as firm as our old spring mattress, but we both kept waking up on the purple with back pain, even after 6 weeks of trying to adjust. Switching back to our old spring mattress alleviated the pain for us immediately. We ultimately ended up with a softer foam mattress from Tuft & Needle which doesn't give us any pain issues.

I moved my older purple to my guest room and I got a king for me and my soon to move in significant other. Ive had almost every memory foam mattress and the purple is hands down the best. To top it off its also reasonably priced. You simply can not go wrong with a purple.

The purple bed is as good as ever. Had a first generation king and this bed holds up to the standards. There were cheaper beds but you can't argue when you know the quality of a bed. The foundation moved very easy on hard wood floors so you need something to stop the moving. The pillow and other features are good.

The Purple Mattress is everything we expected. We had the same mattress for 20 years and were comfy. But it was time to get a new one, and we could not be happier. Neck, shoulder, and hip pain - gone! No more waking up when the other rolls over. And best of all, it's nice and cool all night long! THANK YOU THANK YOU Purple!!!!

When I get in this bed, I think the toughest thing is getting out of it. Its just that good. I thought the commercials on Facebook was funny but didn't hurt to try the product since you have 100 days to test it out. I would consider switch my other mattress for another Purple! Get one if you don't have one!
