Initial review will update as time passes: My first responses to this bed were, "this is so fun to unpack!", "oh my god this feels amazing..." and "I want everyone to feel this bed!" Right after ordering, and during the waiting process (it took two weeks to get here) I heard from a friend who had gotten the king size that her husband HATED it and she didn't think it was that great. I had read reviews that were talking about how if you're not the right weight (150 pounds or above) that you won't sink in enough and get the pressure release as advertised. Thankfully, I am not finding this to be the case at all (I am a small woman weighing 118 pounds and my boyfriend weighs 145). I can already feel my lower back and injured shoulder thanking me for this purchase. My boyfriend says that he's never had such good sleep on any bed he's tried. We will update this over the 100 day trial period!

I was quite hesitant to get this bed. Not just in the price, but the more I read, the more I wasn't sure if it was for me. My spouse decided it was, guessing tired of me complaining and tossing and turning all through the night. With the trial, there was no risk. And in the end... what a great investment! Immediately, I found myself way more comfortable in the bed and after a couple months now, that hasn't changed. I find myself in the same position through the night and wake way less sore than before. For me, a 49-year old, 6'0, 175#, medium build male with some neck and lower back issues, I have struggled for years with getting decent sleep. This mattress has clearly helped change that!

When my wife and I decided to upgrade to a king bed after many years on a queen, we searched for what mattress to buy. After a lot of research and suggestions from friends, we decided to try Purple, given their 100-night guarantee. We purchased a king mattress, mattress protector, sheets, a platform, and two king size plush pillows for about $1550, a great value! We absolutely LOVE the bed! I had ongoing issues with sciatica in my right leg/hip for the past year. All of my pain was gone after one night on the Purple and has not returned!

I thought the memory foam portion of this mattress (that supports the grid) would be more firm. This bed sinks way more than I thought it would. I am not completely satisfied with this purchase. I am going to continue to try it out and hope for better results.

I LOVE this mattress. I am writing a review simply because my husband is tired of hearing me say "I love this mattress, this was a good purchase." I was really hesitant to buy a mattress I had never tried before. I probably spent 4 weeks researching mattresses before finally deciding to buy purple. I am a side sleeper, 140lbs, 5ft tall, female with hips. Pros: - I don't wake up in pain anymore. I used to wake up stiff and in pain. My hips ached my back was tight and my shoulders were killing me. I'm 30, guys. I felt like I was 70. - I don't wake up my husband in the middle of the night. We had an inner spring mattress before. Every time one of us moved we would wake the other up. Neither of us were sleeping. There is very little motion transfer in this mattress. In fact, any motion transfer we are getting now is from the frame, not the mattress. - I'm not in pain. There is such a huge value in this that I feel like I need to say it twice. I was in so much pain before. It took me about 4 weeks of sleeping on purple to recover from the damage that my last mattress did. I am getting restorative, healing sleep on purple. - I don't feel like my back is bowing when I lay on my side. I have hips and when I would lay on my side, my spine would collapse down towards the mattress, which was probably where a lot of my pain was coming from. That doesn't happen when I sleep on purple. - No smell at all when we opened it Notes: - It's really heavy. I'm not sure that I could have gotten it upstairs by myself if it was a king or a queen. (we bought two twins pushed together to make a king) - It is firmer than I expected. But it's very comfortable. I was expecting it to feel squishy or something. But when you first lay on it it feels like a firm mattress. - You CAN feel the little squares of the top layer. This doesn't bother me. And most of the time I don't notice it. I would think of it like the egg carton style toppers. You can feel those too, but that doesn't make them uncomfortable. - It slides around a little bit on the frame (we have the purple frame too). This is easily fixed with an old yoga mat or anti-skid rug liner

I had purchased a new mattress bcause of my poor sleep on the old one. I tried it 3 mos & I was still n immense pain! Tried my grandaughter for 3 nites & felt so much better! I immediately purchased one & have slept GREAT since! I highly recommend this mattress!

The purple mattress is magic! I have never been in a bed so soft/hard (the perfect combination). I have never left a review for something in my whole entire life BUT..... I felt the need to leave a comment. Purple mattress made this whole process so easy, I ordered it a week before Christmas and they still got it to me in a timely manner. I think they must be the devil because this is witch craft! Thank you so much for making my gift so great, you guys are AMAZING!

We love this product. We had an old bed before with the "dents" on each side. We started having horrible back pain both of us and our chiropractor said you guys might need a new bed. So we found a place where you could test a bunch of online beds. My husband loved the coolness of it. And when we laid in it it was just fun and different then all the other beds. We have had ours for 3 years now and seriously not one ounce of the back pain we felt before. For either of us. Also not on sign of a dent where we sleep. My kids love it and we just purchase two beds for my my two oldest. I even had them test all the beds in the store just to make sure it was their choice and not ours. My younger four are insanely jealous but they'll get their chance too someday! We all have the Purple 4. We also got the sheets and the mattress protector. The type of sheets is essential or the bed isn't as squishy as when you initially lay on it.

We were excited to try this new bed technology, however for 30 days all we did was flip flop all night long, toss and turn. In addition our shoulders and hips hurt in the morning . Your customer service is fantastic, we were glad that we could donate it to a really worthwhile nonprofit home a shelter in Michigan to make a difference there. We wished that your bed system offered a few more options, maybe that would've made a difference in us trying the mattress for a little longer period of time. We have since ordered the Luxi mattress and appreciate the options that their beds system offer.

We had a top-brand memory foam mattress over 10-years and replaced it with a Purple (original) mattress. It sleeps cooler (although not as cooler as I expected), and is incredibly comfortable. The Purple Foundation is the perfect complement (and the Purple Harmony pillows, Purple SoftStretch Sheets, and Purple Weighted Blanket). If it's Purple, it perfect.
