It was an amazing smell. The Febreze Lilac smells just like the trees. As soon as the scent hits the air your room has the scent of lilacs. It isn't over powering, just the right amount. I've found myself spraying the can even if it's not needed just to smell lilacs. I just love this!!!

I dont know if it leaves any residue on hardwood floor after spraying because I have all carpet but i sprayed it in the air over the furniture and didnt feel anything on my leather couch after it dried. The smell lastes a long time afterward. The nozzle is so easy to use.
