Excellent flavor

I had been looking forward to this bread, but was very disappointed when it arrived just now. The boule felt harder than it should… stale with almost no give. I looked at the date, and it was “processed” four days ago, and best used by *tomorrow!*. I live alone, and that just isn't happening. I can guarantee this loaf would probably wind up in the trash at Sam's tomorrow. I would be lucky to get 2 or 3 edible pieces out of the *center* of the boule, as the crust around the entire loaf is so hard and dried out. Buyer Beware - this should never have been sold unless it was disclosed that it wasn't fresh, and at a big discount!

This bread is delicious! The rosemary flavor is a real plus, especially when I spread butter on it. The crust is fairly hard, but I love that about it. It taste fine just as it is, but lately toasted is even better. I also liked it with an artichoke spread on top, so much that I had to have more of it. I can't recommend this enough.
