The TV is decent for the price, bit now they FORCE you to register on their tv app. You basically need to be an attorney now to buy a new TV with all the legali junk yhey throw at you. I simply want to buy a TV. This is the last Vizio TV I purchase. My personal information and freedom is worth more than a few extra dollars for a different brand that doesn't force you to register.

This particular TV sat in our garage in Texas for about two plus years. Likely heat and cold finally got to it. I replaced it with my fourth lifetime purchase of a Vizio TV. The other two still run like champs in our bedroom, living room and now game room. The ease of use is great and the value is unchallenged. I will continue buying Vizio’s until they prove to me otherwise.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I'm satisfied with the Vizio 50" UHD TV. It's working just fine for my needs. However, here are some things that could be improved on: The power cord is not detachable and you have to be careful during handling not to step on it. If it breaks the TV is a dead weight. The power cord is on the opposite side from the video inputs, which makes cable management unnecessarily more complex. During set up it asks you what apps you want to have easily accessible. Then when you eventually come to the home screen it just lists all available apps, and doesn't even put the ones you selected first on the list. The list is random. The quick access buttons on the remote are hardcoded for the apps they show on the button. It would be better to have mappable buttons to launch the apps you actually want to use. Obviously you have similar issues with other manufacturers, but in most other cases they give you mappable colored buttons too. The sound output specifications are not listed anywhere on the box and you have to refer to the user guide or search for device specs online. It's a huge inconvenience when you are ready to buy and are comparing options. The actual speaker power output is 8 watts x2. Having said that, the overall usage experience is perfectly fine after learning to navigate the home screen and learning the remote.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When you turn the TV on it decides to flash every 2 or 3 seconds until you stop moving along and then it stops it's like six or more times unfortunately. Very annoying and frustrating because I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong if anything.

It started displaying flashing lines at the bottom that made the whole screen flash. Purchased this one top replace it and have no regrets. Picture is awesome! Integrated in the system easily.

With this TV it went very smoothly...setup your account, connect to internet and follow directions. All went well. We connected our roku device to get all our subscriptions to our different streaming services... It was a simple as signing into our services. We would highly recommend the 50 inch version of this TV and will buy another Vizio if our TV in our spare room ever dies.
