For any self-respecting Detroiter, this does NOT resemble Detroit-style pizza. It is doughy, tasteless and missing the caramelized cheese on the crust. Unless I looked at it, I never would have known that it had sauce. I am someone who grew up in Detroit appreciating Louie's, Shield's and Buddy's. They represent true Detroit-style pizza. Now that I live in PA, I search for Motor City brand frozen pizza to get closer to the real deal.

I received a reimbursement for this product to leave an honest review. Pizza had good instructions on how to bake and their recommendation, however, it didn't turn out as i would expected. The crust was all over the place and wasn't uniformed to the pizza. That said, some pieces were crunchy and looked good, as where some pieces were a bit burnt. The pizza itself was very filling but i felt it lacked flavor. This is a very cheesy pizza hence i believe to be part of the factor for it being so filling. The crust underneath was just normal as it seems the package that it came in did not do what it was suppose to do to provide anther layer of crust. The pepperoni was plentiful and like i mentioned before, it was very cheesy. The pizza was ok at best as i felt it just didn't hit the spot for my pizza craving. Price of the pizza wasn't too bad considering you are getting 2. A good note on that is, you can always make one now and make one later. My final thought, this is a pizza to fill you up with pepperoni and cheese but definitely could use a bit more flavor.

I’m a Chicago Deep Dish fan, but really, love just about any pizza. Thought I’d give this one a try. It was SO GOOD!! Way less crust than a Chicago deep dish, but still substantial. Even the kids liked it. It’s light and airy and the cheese on the crust is delicious!

This Detroit style pizza was delicious—thick, soft, and fluffy crust with crispy edges, plenty of sauce, and great cheesy flavor. It cooked up perfectly and tasted like a restaurant-quality pizza at home. I would definitely buy it again!

The pizza appeared to have been turned sideways before it was frozen at the factory. I can't explain how the toppings would've been as badly misplaced in any other scenario. The sauce was extremely bland. Probably not the worst pizza I've ever had, but definitely close.

Better than I expected from a frozen pizza! Compared to other reviews, I thought there was lots of cheese and pepperoni! The cheese melted over the edge to give it a pan pizza experience. My only change would be Detroit style pizza has the sauce on the top! Pretty darn good!

I received a reimbursement for this product to leave an honest review. This pizza is cheesy and tasty. I love a good pan crust pizza and this pizza delivers. There is plenty of sauce but not too much. It takes about 20 minutes for it to fully cook. And at about $12 for two pizzas, it is more than worth it. One pizza was plenty for my family of 3. It's not large but it is deep dish so it is filling. I will purchase again on my own.

I received a reimbursement for this product to leave an honest review. This was my first time trying 'Detroit Style Pizza' so I didn't know what to expect. I think this pizza was very bland. I agree with other reviews that the pizza crust was sweet and seems more like a bread consistency/texture vs pizza. The bread to topping ratio was off too, the toppings needed to be more abundant to offset the thickness of the crust. I also thought the crust would be crispier, based off the photo on the packaging, but the bottom was dry and hard like cardboard. I also thought it needed more cheese, so I did have to add some more of what I had on hand. I would not repurchase this pizza.

I received a reimbursement for this product to leave an honest review. Was not expecting anything too spectacular from a frozen pizza and we definitely overbaked the first pan and didn't enjoy it. Watched the second one more closely and it got a nice crisp all around the edges with the middle being cooked all the way through. We enjoyed the 2 kinds of pepperoni and would have enjoyed a little bit more cheese. Overall, it's good quality and quantity for the price it is being sold at. We will get it again.

Good for the price. Some things that could happen to make it much better are shortening the pan you cook the pizza in. It's too big right now and doesn't have as much cheese melt to the sides as it should. A little more cheese and sauce would do better also. Definitely not as good as Motor City, but I would buy this again out of convenience. Would highly recommend putting candied jalapenos as an extra topping. I've found that to be the best pizza topping possible.
