Tough crust, cooked to much and not enough!

Review of Sam's Club Detroit Style, Deep Dish Pizza! The two pack of pizzas are individually packaged in cooking trays then wrapped in plastic. After removing one tray we found the toppings of mozzarella cheese, peperoni and small cubes of meat that were scattered inside the tray. I found this consistent with most frozen pizzas with toppings. This was not a problem because my wife does not like meat and we always place all the meat on one half for me. The oven cooking instructions call for a preheated 425-degree oven timed for 19 to 22 minutes. After 16.5 minutes the top of the pizza was very dark, and the edges were close to burnt so we removed it. After removing the pizza from the oven, the bottom 1/8” of crust was dark and looked like it had been precooked. The remaining 3/8” of the crust looked less than fully cooked making the crust taste like a precooked and re-heated pizza. If there is any sauce on the dough it was not distinguishable from the cheese grease. This would not be my go-to frozen pizza as I have a couple that are very good. I received a reimbursement for this product to leave an honest review.

Just Bad.

They're bad. Thought they were going to be like Motor City Detroit Deep Dish.. way wrong. I've cooked 2 of these the same night. The second because I thought I screwed up the first. Just bad pizza. 1) won't cook fully in the pan - it's either burn the outer edges to get the center cooked or leave the center raw, cut the outside pieces out when they're done, and put the center back in the over for another 8 minutes or so.. 2) the cheese is poor quality and doesn't melt very good. 3) where's the sauce? Do better.. just lame more expensive than other brands and poorer quality.

Bland and too bready

I received a reimbursement for this product to leave an honest review. This was my first time trying 'Detroit Style Pizza' so I didn't know what to expect. I think this pizza was very bland. I agree with other reviews that the pizza crust was sweet and seems more like a bread consistency/texture vs pizza. The bread to topping ratio was off too, the toppings needed to be more abundant to offset the thickness of the crust. I also thought the crust would be crispier, based off the photo on the packaging, but the bottom was dry and hard like cardboard. I also thought it needed more cheese, so I did have to add some more of what I had on hand. I would not repurchase this pizza.

Great tasting Frozen Pizza!

I received a reimbursement for this product to leave an honest review. This was one of the best tasting frozen pizzas I have had. It was messy out of the box and you have to rearrange a lot of the toppings, but no biggie. It does take probably 5 more minutes than the directions say. The edges get a little brown, but it worked out great. Everyone loved it! I will be buying again for sure.

STOP! THIS IS NOT Members Mark! read the back, it clearly shows its from "Richs" in NY... Is it as good as Motor City Deep Dish? No.. BUT! For the price? Not bad. The Meat pizza has a decent amount of pepperoni, and other meats. cheese is a decent portion. the crust is bland, and kinda... well, its there. for the price? its good for kids that need fed cheap.. for adults? go across the lot to walmart, go to the freezer section, while headed that way, smack ur hands for not doing this sooner...get motor city deep dish. Again, dont blame Sams Club cause people cant read the back and see that it is NOT Members Mark.

Worst frozen pizza I have ever had.

Superficially the pizza resembled Motor City or other Detroit style pizzas, but it was just completely unappealing. The crust is dense and flavorless, like they forgot to add yeast and salt to the dough. We ate half and threw the rest away. I don't think I have ever thrown away leftover pizza.

Great flavor!

The flavor was great and the idea was good, but the cooking temp seemed a little high. The pizza got more burnt on the top and might have cooked better at a lower temp. Good amount for the family. With the second pizza, there are two in the box, we will try a lower temperature and see if that will stop the tendency to burn.

Deep dish pizza

I received a reimbursement for this product to leave an honest review. The pizza was had a lot of pepperoni but could have been cheesier! The pizza dough was very light and fluffy which was a big hit with my family. Overall we all really liked it and would buy again.

Not Detroit Style

No flavor and too much crust. This is not Detroit-style in any way, shape or form. The only thing making this deep dish is the 2-inch thick flavorless crust.
