They're bad. Thought they were going to be like Motor City Detroit Deep Dish.. way wrong. I've cooked 2 of these the same night. The second because I thought I screwed up the first. Just bad pizza. 1) won't cook fully in the pan - it's either burn the outer edges to get the center cooked or leave the center raw, cut the outside pieces out when they're done, and put the center back in the over for another 8 minutes or so.. 2) the cheese is poor quality and doesn't melt very good. 3) where's the sauce? Do better.. just lame more expensive than other brands and poorer quality.

Terrible! I decided to give them a chance because they were on sale. I may never try anything new ever again. 😉 I just wish I hadn't bought two of the two packs. I literally can't imagine a circumstance where I would want to eat the remaining three pizzas.

If you're a fan of authentic Detroit style, this will disappoint. the pizza to pan ratio is drastically off which left far too much room for practically all toppings to fall off. My husband described it best, tastes similar to "school pizza" but I'd probably choose that if provided the option. The sauce is bland, toppings are perfectly fine, the crust itself leaves something to be desired and has an uncomfortable sweet after taste.

I've had Detroit Deep Dish pizza in Detroit and this isn't it. The pizza by itself is so so. The 2nd one in the box, I took off the pepperoni, added more mozzarella cheese, put the pepperoni back on, added green peppers, thinly sliced mushrooms (both of which I sweated down in a dry saute pan) and sliced black olives. (I forgot the onions). That made it a lot better. I did like how you can bake it in it's own container, that makes for easier cleanup.

I really wanted to like and order every week! However I tried/baked as required, to me it LOOKS wonderful on top/the edges were brown-ish = yum right? well to me..... the dough they used didn't soak up any pepperoni grease or cheese, so this tasted like pizza deliciousness on top of dry white bread. However after placing the remaining in the fridge overnight, the cold pizza tasted better. For the price and sizes of both combined/I can go to the corner orange pizza pizza place for a better experience at about the same price. I usually LOVE all products from SAMS but this was meh.

When you unwrap them, (you get two in the box) just take your fingers and scoop up any loose cheese and sprinkle it back on the top of the pizzas where it belongs. They bake up nicely, if you bake at the lower end of the time it will be a bit more doughy inside and not so if you bake to the end of the recommended time. We enjoy this because this style of pizza does not have hard crunchy crust. There is plenty of sauce on the pizza but it's not over done, there is an ample amount of cheese and pepperoni. We cut the pizza into four very large pieces and we used both pizzas to feed four of us. I will buy this again and you should definitely try it if you haven't tried it yet! It's an upgrade from the “regular” frozen pizzas.

The crispy cheese edge was different and great. Overall, the flavors of everything were great. The dough baked into a soft crust and the pepperoni and the cheese were great. It's a pretty good value on top of everything, and it was delicious.

I felt the dough was very fluffy and incredibly light, which I was not expecting. It had a subtle sweetness, too. The pie cooked up nicely, although the crust wasn't very crispy on bottom. It had a great ratio of cheese and pepperoni, but I felt it needed a bit more sauce. Overall, I felt it was a really good quality boxed frozen pie and will be purchasing it again.

I received a reimbursement for this product to leave an honest review. The pizza was great if you like that deep dish, thick crust type pizza. (Think Jets Pizza). It had plenty of pepperoni, cheese and just the right amount of sauce. (Not too much that it was overwhelming, but enough to give it a good italian pizza flavor. The only thing I didn't like was it was to be cooked in its own plastic tray in the oven. I don't know what plastics leached into the pizza while cooking it 425 degrees. If I could put it on my own metal pan or if it came in it's own tin tray for baking, it would take that concern away and I would give it 5 stars. Oh and trust me, give me it a few minutes to eat it or you'll sear the roof of your mouth off. I mean, it was so good, I couldn't wait. So user error.

I received a reimbursement for this product to leave an honest review. This was my first time trying 'Detroit Style Pizza' so I didn't know what to expect. I think this pizza was very bland. I agree with other reviews that the pizza crust was sweet and seems more like a bread consistency/texture vs pizza. The bread to topping ratio was off too, the toppings needed to be more abundant to offset the thickness of the crust. I also thought the crust would be crispier, based off the photo on the packaging, but the bottom was dry and hard like cardboard. I also thought it needed more cheese, so I did have to add some more of what I had on hand. I would not repurchase this pizza.
