Good Luck, I thought it was aweful

worst frozen pizza ever. the crust never fully baked. it got to the point the cheese was burning while trying to get the crust to stop looking like chewing gum. can't believe they stopped selling Roncadin frozen pizza which happened to be the best ever. please bring it back and get rid of this waste of electricity.

Detroit pizza…as good as Barry Sanders!

Better than I expected from a frozen pizza! Compared to other reviews, I thought there was lots of cheese and pepperoni! The cheese melted over the edge to give it a pan pizza experience. My only change would be Detroit style pizza has the sauce on the top! Pretty darn good!

Terrible

My wife made the first one so I didn't see how it came out of the box. It was tasteless. No sauce, not enough cheese to get to the edges of the pizza. Now, when I went to make the second one for my kids, I noticed all the toppings slid off the pizza. I asked my wife if the first one was like that and she said, “Yes, I just fixed it myself.” There is clearly no sauce on the pizza. Looks like a huge quality issue in their production.

Great flavor but needs more cheese

I received a reimbursement for this product to leave an honest review. I really enjoyed the flavor of the crust and the sauce. I typically like a saucier pizza but this pizza did not need it for the crust. I wish there was more cheese. After letting the pizza cool for a minute it seemed like all of the cheese was just dragged down in to the cuts and basically non existent which made the kids dislike it The pan that it came in was frustrating to try to cut the pizza in, so looking forward I would move the pizza to a flat surface before cutting. All in all I think I will buy this again but I will add extra cheese and toppings.

just ok

I really wanted to like and order every week! However I tried/baked as required, to me it LOOKS wonderful on top/the edges were brown-ish = yum right? well to me..... the dough they used didn't soak up any pepperoni grease or cheese, so this tasted like pizza deliciousness on top of dry white bread. However after placing the remaining in the fridge overnight, the cold pizza tasted better. For the price and sizes of both combined/I can go to the corner orange pizza pizza place for a better experience at about the same price. I usually LOVE all products from SAMS but this was meh.

Revise the Baking Instructions

If you follow the baking instructions you'll get a very doughy crust that is hard all around the edges and gummy (undercooked) in the middle. In fact the top will be super dark too, nothing like the picture. When making the 2nd pie, I decided to adjust the baking instructions to 400F for 30 minutes. Though far from perfect, the dough was completely cooked but still too doughy. The entire pie is still too dark as well.

Not like the Detroit Deep Dish Pizza in Detroit

I've had Detroit Deep Dish pizza in Detroit and this isn't it. The pizza by itself is so so. The 2nd one in the box, I took off the pepperoni, added more mozzarella cheese, put the pepperoni back on, added green peppers, thinly sliced mushrooms (both of which I sweated down in a dry saute pan) and sliced black olives. (I forgot the onions). That made it a lot better. I did like how you can bake it in it's own container, that makes for easier cleanup.

Tricky to cook but worth it.

This was a great price! I personally have a hard time with pepperoni because some pizza companies use cheap stuff that leaves an gross aftertaste but that was not the case for this pizza. It was so good! I also loved the amount of cheese. The only negative thing I can say is that I not a fan of how it cooks because it feel like it cooks too fast on the outside and stays uncrispy in the middle so I had to switch the pizza to my bottom oven shelf to get the middle to get crispy but it was worth it.

A pretty awesome frozen pizza!

I received a reimbursement for this product to leave an honest review. I love all kinds of pizza and eat it at least 1-2 times per week. When I saw this pizza at Sam's, I decided to try it. While I've never had an authentic Detroit style pizza from a ship in Michigan, I really enjoyed this one! The flavor was great and it was baked to perfection after 20 minutes. My only criticism is that it needs more sauce. I will definitely buy it again.

Bland and too bready

I received a reimbursement for this product to leave an honest review. This was my first time trying 'Detroit Style Pizza' so I didn't know what to expect. I think this pizza was very bland. I agree with other reviews that the pizza crust was sweet and seems more like a bread consistency/texture vs pizza. The bread to topping ratio was off too, the toppings needed to be more abundant to offset the thickness of the crust. I also thought the crust would be crispier, based off the photo on the packaging, but the bottom was dry and hard like cardboard. I also thought it needed more cheese, so I did have to add some more of what I had on hand. I would not repurchase this pizza.
