Taste and texture is inconsistent

Seems like the flavor and quality is pretty inconsistent. Maybe that’s part of their marketing. But in this single bag (which is priced remarkably well through Sam’s Club by the way) there were some pieces of fruit that were soft and sweet, and others that were very difficult to chew and very sour. I don’t love that I never know which type of bite I may be grabbing. If there was more consistency even among a single bag, I might buy again!

These are the best and here’s why….

No sugars, no oils, no preservatives and rinds left on. This allows you to get the most out of it as fruit and not some altered fruit snack. These taste just like my mom made in the dehydrator growing up. They are chewy and the sour plums offset the sweet peaches beautifully. Just ordered two more bags cause the first two flew.

Healthy and Delicious

Plums and white peaches are my family's favorites. The ingredients are literally just the fruit themselves and obviously dried. No extra sugar or anything so it makes this very healthy. And yet the taste is nice a sweet! It's a really great snack for when we have that sweet tooth. I hope they keep this on rotation because this is a great find!

Ugly Fruit is Good

I just received this today. I put some down on a plate in front of my husband and he said, "What is this????" I said, "Ugly dried fruit with no added sugar. Try it!" He said, "I can tell it doesn't have any added sugar but it gets sweeter as you chew it." I said, "Good, we like it!"

Win/Win - 5 Stars for Eating Healthy

I absolutely love all of The Ugly Fruit's I have bought and I hope you continue to carry them! I feel like it is better for the environment and myself to purchase these because they are taking fruit that would normally go to a landfill and dehydrating it, without additional ingredients, it is a win/win!

Very Yummy and No Added Sugar Crust!!

A lot of people are complaining these aren't crispy, like apple or banana chips. That's because those are dried hard, and these are dried soft like jerky. It's similar texture to fruit in trail mixes or dried apricots %26 mango's. They also don't coat them in sugar or add sulfur dioxide. It's just fruit. Occasionally, you can tell the piece had a bruise, but it's rare. If you want perfect fruit, buy it in the store and dry it yourself. This is the ugly stuff that can't sell and gets used anyway, so good on them. Just wish the single fruit varieties they have on their website were as frugal as it is at Sam's.

Truly, an amazing value and incredibly high quality. What dried fruit is supposed to be. Difficult to find because it is so wonderful and because so many people buy it up, like I do for when I can't find it at all those you don't like this don't know what real dried fruit is

Oh man. These are really bad. I dehydrate and freeze dry fruit, but it takes a long time. I decided to try these on a whim. They are terrible. First off, they aren't even dry. They are still wet. The smell is bad. I nibbled a small piece and it's like rubber. These should not be called dried fruit because they are no where near dried. I'm actually going to see if I can return these, that's how bad they are.
