I almost did not purchase this because one of the reviews said that the handle did not collapse. I was grateful to find that it actually does and quite well in fact! There is a simple double sided release button that makes it slide down when depressed. As you can see it drops down to being flush with the entire thing. Absolutely as compact as it could possibly be. It is so thoughtfully designed, including the clear and printing of front stamped in the side metal of the front wheels, and the same on the two rear. I had it assembled in under three minutes. Yes, really. I also looked at the bench of the same color, and I love the idea of its versatility. This one is 30 pounds and the bench version is more like 33 I think. But this one has a much larger capacity. I may buy both - matching! Hands down, great wagon. It's a tank! Don't let the negative review detour you. It is a big wagon but easy to collapse.
