I first wore the Cotton Stretch Micro Ripstop Utility Short on a weekend hiking trip at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis. The lightweight, ripstop fabric was perfect for the trails. It stretched enough to stay comfortable during long walks and climbing over rocks, while still feeling durable against branches and rough surfaces. I also wore them to a casual outdoor barbecue with friends, pairing them with a simple tee and sneakers. Likes: The ripstop material felt tough yet flexible, ideal for both outdoor activities and casual wear. Multiple utility pockets made it easy to carry essentials like my phone, wallet, and keys without needing a bag. The fit was comfortable and breathable, especially in hot weather. Dislikes: The fabric, while durable, was slightly stiff at first and took a few wears to soften. The shorts wrinkled easily after washing, so they needed a quick iron or steam. The pocket design, though practical, made the silhouette look a bit bulky at times.

I wear shorts year round living in Texas and I am always on the lookout for well made shorts. These are water resistant and have rip-stop which is always a plus. I like the addition of the security pocket as well as the utility pockets on the sides. I don’t always want or need full cargo shorts, but I like having the small side pockets for my EDC items. I will definitely be purchasing more of these as my everyday go to shorts.

These shorts are very comfortable and very durable. When I first opened them up, I thought they were pants, because of the thick material, but I was surprised at how soft stretchy and comfortable they are. The security pocket is especially useful when outdoors. I love cargo shorts, but these don't look like cargo shorts, which makes them more modern and fashionable.

Pockets for days. All pockets are open top except for the security pocket that has a zipper. Zippers on these shorts are metal and strong. Very good stitching on the seems. The fabric sheds water fairly well to keep you dry from rain and such, not swimming.

WP: Weatherproof Men’s Cargo Shorts (WP in Cream) COTTON STRETCH MICRO RIP-STOP UTILITY SHORT. I really love these shorts because they are comfortable so much so I got another pair of these shorts (see photos). As a man who appreciates both comfort and a touch of refinement in my leisurewear, I must say these Weatherproof cargo shorts have exceeded my expectations. The fabric is remarkably soft, stretchy, and durable, and I find that it only improves with each wash—a quality I hold in high regard. The double-stitched seams and elastic waistband speak to thoughtful craftsmanship and lasting comfort. The fit is generous without being sloppy, striking that perfect balance most men—and women—appreciate. I’m particularly fond of the numerous pockets and placement, which offer ample space for a knife, keys, wallet, phone, and other daily essentials. The front zipper adds a welcome layer of security, especially for safeguarding smaller items that tend to wander off in the car or couch. My wife has even remarked on how presentable these new shorts look—high praise indeed, considering my older pair has stood the test of time and remains a favorite for comfort. As someone who values quality, practicality, and especially soft materials, I find Weatherproof superior to many pricier name brands. For the price, the quality of materials and construction they are hard to beat. I like the broken in shorts in more casual environments while the newer ones for more upscale occasions since almost all restaurants and such places allow shorts in the Free State of Florida.

These shorts are a comfortable fit. The material is thicker than I expected. Somewhere between denim and a lightweight workout material. But they’d work well for everyday wear or a cooler day on the golf course. I liked the pockets and especially the security one. Overall I’d give a high rating for these shorts.

The shorts are a great material. The pockets are in a perfect placement and do not have an issue with items falling out. The shorts are comfortable to wear, the material is strong and soft on the skin. I chose the green color because I haven't worn green shorts before and I am very pleased with the color.

I intentionally ordered a size too large (38), thinking that would be a good idea. Once I tried them on I realized the sizing is really accurate and I should've ordered a (36). This gave me the opportunity to use the belt loops and with the addition of a belt, it was a very comfortable fit. The belt was easy to use and put through the loops. The overall fit is comfortable, this maybe due to being a little larger size, but I think it would remain comfortable with a smaller waistband. The length is very nice and also comfortable. The color is interesting, it appears to be more blue than grey but is an attrative color regardless of the name. The fabric itself has a little stretch to it, which is something else I wish I had taken into account when making the sizing choice. I really feel like the slight stretch really helps with sitting comfort. Pockets are a good size, and there is a variety to use.

These are a great pair of khaki shorts that have quickly become a favorite in my wardrobe. These shorts are designed with a stretchable waistband, which is an absolute game-changer in terms of comfort. The material is incredibly soft, making them perfect for all-day wear. Plus, they come with a variety of pockets, including a handy security pocket in the front and multiple utility pockets, so you’ll never run out of space for your essentials. Definitely would recommend.

These ripstop utility shorts look like they will be pretty useful for every day use. The double stitching also adds to the ruggedness of their construction. The material seems tightly woven to repel water, but also has a nice stretch to it. The waistband also has a nice stretch, almost like boxer shorts. The security packet in the front right packet is zippered and gives a generous 5 1/2 inches of depth. The cargo style packets on the leg provide even more space.
