It's been seven years, since the best vacation ever in Cancun, Mexico. Actually the entire Yucatán Peninsula, as I do look forward to another trip. On a bus trip there I enjoyed Modelo Especial beer, or as the locals called it “cerveza frio.” That's how I like my beer, and getting a case last week, the price was higher than expected. It is an import from Mexico, and plus inflation is at record levels. At least it's cheaper than gasoline, which is making my fill ups, bring along something to drink away the pain with. That was a joke, as I please ask respectfully, don't drink and drive. Modelo is interesting. This is a good beer, but it lacks the distinctive taste to be considered anything above that. It's a light beer with corn and honey notes. Very smooth too, and I think people will for the most part think it's decent. Yet I doubt anyone hoists superlatives at this particular brew. They have a ways to go for that. Still I was happy for the stroll down memory road, and enjoyed this with various meals.

Modelo Especial is one of my favorite beers but I think I prefer modelo black than the regular beer all cuz it'l has a much of a richer type of beer taste. It's pretty light and tasteless when it's cold. I would compare this beer with model black. P.S. I couldn't post the correct word for medlock black because influenster blocked the word so don't try to correct me.

I actually like the 'taste' of beer.. it's in the DNA unfortunately :/ love this product available in glass bottles.. it's yummy ;) however not liking the foil around the seal. It often gets in the bottle , then my mouth :/ do appropriate that it is not the most expensive or would go for Bud light ;) will edit to 5 stars if not for the foil.. it's attractive but not practical right :)

Modelo is usually one of my top picks of beer , but is HAS to be super cold! I love that it doesn't have a heavy bitter taste and could be enjoyed with or without food. You have a variety of options when it comes to sizes snd packs and can be found at most markets.

I was introduced to Modelo while in Mexico way before it was available in the states near me. It has a slight orange taste and isn't very hoppy. It is far from my favorite beer but I have seen many other people drinking it in the past few years it's been available in the north east.

This is my favorite summer beer though you could certainly drink it at any time of the year. It has a crisp citrusy taste And a clear look in the glass. I have paired it with both Mexican food and seafood and loved it with both. The Bottle shape feels good in your hand and still fits into a beer coozie.

I'm not really a beer drinker, but when I do I typically go for a Lager since it's a bit lighter. I like Modelo better than Corina it's just smoother and has a better taste. I would say if you're unsure of a beer, but don't want to be basic with a bud light or corona, order a modelo

Something about a chilled beer on a summer day, with tacos, or after a physically exhausting day. Love to spice mine up with fresh lime and tajin! Can't drink on a regular basis or have more than a couple at a time cause of how filling beer is but that's a personal problem lol

I am not a beer lover, but I drink beer anyway. Modelo is one of the brands I've tried a few times. As a non-beer lover I find it to be drinkable, especially with a large squeeze of lime. It's not that expensive, usually its a good value, depending on where you purchase it. 

Someone offered me a modelo and I had never had one. I'm a beer drinker so I asked them to compare modelo to something else. They said it's similar to Corona but better. I couldn't agree more! It's so flavorful and crisp, Corona almost seems watered down in comparison.
