What can I say it really is a soft material next to the skin, so those of us who are sensitive to the quality of paper, this should be a upgrade for most. Charmin is a product that has been around for years, and they always specified it is the softest. The best judge of this is to try it and see..

It's great to the touch , it cleans and doesn't shred but, try to tear one sheet at a time and it is difficult to separate , don't loose the end , now that's a challenge . I definitely will buy Charmin again and again because it is my favorite brand but will buy Ultra strong instead . [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ever a frugal person, I used to buy store brand toilet tissues. Then I heard from my sister that Charmin is a soft and worthy TP to buy. Through the years I have tried the different forms of Charmin and have been generally satisfied with the Ultra Soft version (the Ultra Strong I don't prefer as much). When I recently tried their Ultra Soft mega roll, that really takes the cake! For me, this mega Ultra Soft Charmin is the ultimate American product of its class. Like the Xerox of copiers, or the Cadillac of cars, now we have the Charmin of TPs!

We have been using this product for years and suddenly our last package was noticeably lower quality. It honestly feels like gas station toilet paper. I have never wanted to shop around for toilet paper before but I will not be purchasing this product any more if you don't return to the prior product quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! I hadn't used Charmin in a very long time. I sure have been missing a wonderful product. I couldn't believe how strong it was with being so, so soft. You actually seem to use less which makes the mega roll last a very long time. When I received the product from Charmin, there was a different brand toilet paper in the bathroom. I had to wait until it was gone before I could put the Charmin on the roll. I couldn't believe the difference!!! The other brand is now in the back of the closet for last resort, emergency use. I have since purchased more Charmin and will continue to do so!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received my 4 pack of Charmin Ultra Soft mega roll I thought wow! this box is quite heavy for toilet paper. When I opened the box and felt it was so thick and so soft!!! No problems with the flushing, you would think there would be due to the thickness. I will ONLY BUY CHARMIN ULTRA SOFT from now on! If you haven't tried it, you need to!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have used the same brand for years and anytime we have had to buy another brand, it always has to pass 4 tests: Price, softness, strength, and septic-safe. Our brand is all four. It is affordable, it doesn't chafe, it holds together in use and you don't have to use half the roll, and it breaks apart during flush. We haven't had plumbing issues related to toilet paper in the years since we started buying it. This Charmin Ultra soft passes most of our tests. It's super soft,and feels great against the skin, price is comparable to our brand, you don't need much, but it doesn't immediately start breaking down before flush. It does, however,say that it's septic-safe. All in all, I like it but not necessarily enough to change brands. But it is definitely our new second choice.

Right away I noticed that the roll and paper itself felt much thicker then our usually store brand toilet paper. We have been buying the same store brand toilet paper for years and at first it was difficult to use the right amount of Charmin. Since it is much thicker we could use much less of it at a time. I was surprised at how soft and strong it is. However I didn't like that it always leaves some "crumbs" whereas my usual paper doesn't. If Charmin could work on this little flaw it would be the perfect toilet paper for us! This toilet paper isn't only good for the toilet it also works great as a tissue. I do have allergies and suffer from a runny nose daily. Charmin felt super soft on my nose and kept it clean without a red rash. We used this product for about 5 days. Unfortunately we ran out of it rather quickly because we are used to a cheaper and thinner toilet paper and used too much at a time. I would definitely recommend this product and once you get used to the thickness it is easy to figure out the right amount.
