[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before I had a chance to put the paper on my privates, one of my delightful pets found the package. I caught them red-handed and in a short amount of time (30 seconds or so) they managed to take a nice chunk out of a roll and shred it. It looked more shredable (and ingestable) than the paper we usually use, but no matter it felt soft enough on my fingers. My dog rated it 5 stars. I however did not have as pleasant of an experience. Both me and my partner agreed, compared to the other brand we use- this was rough TP! I daily blow my nose with toilet paper, but that habit stopped after day one of using Charmin Ultra. My nose would have been so tender and red. At the same time, it seems absorbent. It seems decent quality. It seems like an average toilet paper. Maybe even it is softer than the average TP. I can pull it around the roll without it ripping like you often find in office buildings, it seems strong enough. It is fully functional. I need to give Charmin Ultra some credit. If I was not using a far superior TP, perhaps it could have earned more stars. But after my tester rolls are used up, I will be switching back to my other brand where I can blow my nose and wipe with something that feels more like a pillow that my dog can not as easily shred. Because I live with the great access to choice, I will choose to not use Charmin Ultra. If I got left on the earth with nothing but Charmin Ultra, I would adapt. And my life would would still be content. Maybe, if it turns out this is a lot cheaper than the brand I get, I will give it another shot.

It was actually hard for me to resist the urge of doubling up my toilet paper because you do not need to with this stuff. This is nice and thick with softness to boot. I can definitely tell I used less toilet paper than my other stuff I usually use.

To say I have been a 4 square person for the past 30 years would be accurate. But now with Ultra Strong I am a 3 square person with better results. You can use less paper with the same results. Through the miracle of modern science, they were able to reattach my small intestine so it appears that I function normally. What people don't realize is that I now have 4 - 8 bowel movements a day and will for the rest of my life. A small price to pay to be cancer free! Because of my frequent visits to the bathroom, I want (and need) a toilet paper that is strong, yet soft enough to be used often. I am happy to say that this new Charmin Ultra Strong is just that product. I actually have found that I use less of this product than others that I have tried so far. I wholeheartedly endorse this product and will tell others about what I have found!

BUT we have been pleasantly surprised when we tried Chain Ultra Strong. It was soft, strong, and didn't leave messy pieces behind. My kids even loved it and uses it for everything! They prefer it to even any face tissue.

To be perfectly honest it didn't do a great job of getting my rear clean, but it did a GREAT job wrapping our Christmas tree. The material is soft and absorbs liquids well but when it comes to the really dirty work, it was just too thick to get where it needed to be. Definitely soft enough, but too soft to get the hard jobs done.
