[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a one ply guy. I typically don't care which toilet paper I use as long as its the cheapest kind. I've been like this for years. Not anymore. I was shocked the difference a thick strong toilet paper can make. Ultra Strong Charmin was so great I could get away with using about 1/4 the amount of paper for each use without feeling like I wasn't getting the job done. It never broke and was so soft I don't think I could go back to other brands. I would recommend Charmin Ultra Strong to anyone and plan on continued use in the future.

Our household usually tries to save a few cents and goes with one of the better store brands, but when given the opportunity to try a sample of Charmin Ultra Strong through BzzAgent, I figured it was worth a shot. The first thing that I noticed when putting that first roll on the spool was that this was not the usual TP. It is noticeably stiff, but not in a bad way. Some brands are pillowy soft, but not this guy. Again, not in a bad way at all. You can just tell that this stuff is different. It's got some substance to it. IT feels . . . solid, firm. At this point, I was not sure how to feel about this. I mean, it was kind of interesting, but how would it feel in the end, no pun intended. Well, I was pleasantly surprised. I was concerned that the stiffness would come thorough once put into use. That fear was unfounded however. Things felt good, still solid, but not uncomfortable by any means. To the contrary, the solid feeling made it really seem like work was getting done. Another plus, there was no tearing or breaking apart and no little balls of fuzz if you know what I mean. There was also no tearing through layers like some TP's give you, which means less layers are needed. So, as far as I'm concerned, this is good stuff. Solid and durable, but not scratchy or uncomfortable at all. Personally, I would use again. Charmin Ultra Strong really made me feel as if I was getting something accomplished. Now, sharing the house with two girls, I was wondering how things would go over. My five year old daughter did not notice any difference until I asked her about it. Even then, she wasn't too interested. It did the job and that was good enough for her. Although, she was kind of impress when I held a doubled over piece under running water to see how long it would go before disintegrating. That was surprisingly long, especially when you consider how most brands would fall apart more-or-less instantly. The wife on the other hand had a differing opinion. She prefers something a bit on the softer side, so the Charmin Ultra Strong wasn't her favorite. She didn't totally dislike it and said that she wouldn't have a problem using it again, but given her druthers, she would probably go with something with a little more cushion to it. In reality, we will probably continue to buy based largely on price, but all things being equal in that regard, I would go with the Charmin Ultra Strong again. Super soft it is not, but it's more than soft enough as far as I'm concerned. And I challenge you to find a tougher, more durable toilet paper.

They liked it enough to go out and buy a package of this. The tissue is tough and feels good. I can see why they say a little goes a long way. You don't feel like you are going to break through like on some other stuff. I would buy this product again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just recently received the Charmin Ultra Strong TP, as a BzzAgent. The product is not one that our household typically purchases. To say the least, I was somewhat skeptical, would be a mild understatement. I replaced our normal product with the roll of Charmin Ultra Strong. After using the product for a week, I must say that I am a strong supported of this product. Not only does it clean well, but the product is exactly as stated in strength. I would recommend this product to everyone to give it a trial run, you may find your household will also switch to this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ultra Strong Charmin looks like a paper towel, its a strong toilet paper, but it really isn't very soft but defiantly durable. Will stick to my angel soft, prefer soft over thickness. I don't think its worth the extra money. But for the real tough jobs it get the job done.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Somehow Ultra Charmin achieves what would seem to be impossible in that the paper is strong AND soft. Strong, as it rips perfectly along the perforation and there's virtually no chance of leakage -- and soft as your butt will look forward to the wipe. Trust me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son was extremely excited to receive the Charmin Ultra Strong toilet paper to try since it was something that he could fully evaluate. He loved it. My thoughts were that toilet paper is toilet paper. I have to say that I was wrong. After opening the package I was surprised how soft yet strong it was. The next test was to blow my nose and that was nice that no pieces of paper were left on my face and it didn't feel like sand paper. There is a huge difference of how much is used/ needed versus our cheap paper that we normally bought. After using it I have asked myself is this toilet paper or a napkin.

Just opened a new package of Charmin Mega Roll Extra Strong. When I put it on the holder, I immediately noticed something was different. I looked at the package. Previously, each roll had 352 sheets of 4.27 x 4. What I have now has 330 sheets of 3.92 x 4. Also, doesn't seem as thick or as nice. However, paid the same price. I have been willing to pay more for a better product. Have used this product since it was introduced. Initially, the rolls had 380 sheets. Now, down to 330. May have to start trying other brands. Shame on you Charmin! I still recommend, but with mixed feelings.

I would buy whatever was on sale did not matter the brand or the number of ply. Boy was I wrong. When I tried the Charmin Ultra Strong, it certainly was strong as well as soft. It held up well and didn't break apart when put to task. My son even mentioned that it was as strong or stronger than some paper towels but not as rough. Not only did I notice a difference but so to did those people who were using my bathroom. More than one person commented on my "upgraded" bathroom tissue. No longer will I just be buying whatever is the cheapest.
