[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toilet paper is by far one of the best I have ever used. I switched it out in our bathroom at home and didn't tell my girlfriend. She actually came out and started talking to me saying "this might be a weird question, but that's not the normal TP right?" It is hilarious that she noticed so quick! This toilet paper is strong and durable. Not cheap like the 2ply stuff I am forced to use at work. One thing I tend to not like about toilet paper marketed as "strong" is that it is usually pretty rough. This Charmin ultra strong is super supportive but remains soft on your bum. I typically use Cottenelle, because I find it to be cheaper in my area. It works well enough, but I find that I usually have to accompany the toilet paper with the flushable wipes, otherwise it can be a little rough. That hasn't been the case with this Charmin so far. It is much gentler and seems to hold up better than my usual. I would say it works better than my normal toilet paper and better than other TPs I have experienced. This toilet paper delivers as promised, being "Ultra Strong." It looks soft in the package and feels soft out. Therefore, I say you can "judge a book by its cover" in this instance!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got a pack of 4 rolls of the Charmin Ultra Strong toilet paper to try free through bzzAgent. I've been using Cottonelle and I never like to try new TP, so this was a good opportunity for me to try something new. This is definitely a winner. It doesn't dissolve and you don't have to use as much. Its very strong, just like the name. I like that I can use it as a tissue and it doesn't shred on my face, either. I think I will be switching to this brand from now on. I will warn that it is not as soft as some of the other things I have used before. That doesn't bother me, because having something strong is more important to me than having something soft.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My review rating is strictly based on the quality of the paper, I'll expand on this particular package more a little later. It's strong enough to use only 2 squares in a pinch, while 3 squares is as strong and comfortable as 4 or 5 of any other quality brand. But even more importantly it's low linting unlike most other "soft" toilet papers. I am on public sewers so I don't worry at all about the extra bulk of the tissues, if you're on septic these are rated as safe, but of course safe and ideal may be two different things... I will say you can use less than other thinner brands so it should be a wash. As for the Double (2x) Roll vs Regular (1x), vs Big Roll (1.5x) vs Mega Roll (4x)... I'm split between this and the Mega roll as the best size to get. On one hand I hate changing rolls out all the time (which is why I don't buy the smaller sizes), but the Mega roll makes it too easy to take more paper than you need when you first put the roll on. So this is probably the best compromise but I'd like to see a 2.5x or 3x size roll. So for the length of the roll I would rate this pack as 4 and a half stars. As for marketing games and the possibly narrower size. I think everyone is right that it is narrower. I TP used to store very tightly when stack on top of each other on the shelf and now there's a little extra room. For me it's a non-issue as I don't rely on that dimension enough to notice, and it's a little easier for me to store... But I could see how it could concern some people, unfortunately there isn't a better alternative. As for a decrease in softness, again it's not one that I could notice and still better than the alternatives (since I find ultra soft tissues too linty or weak).

I normalie purchase Charmin Ultra strong mega rolls, however I saw none with the Mega sign but I did see 36 Double Rolls + 72 Regular Rolls so I figured that you just changed the packaging so I purchased it. These rolls are only 2/3 the diameter as the Mega rolls!

No more john Wayne style paper this stuff is refreshing and lasts a lot longer than traditional rolls. Great product. My bathroom will never be the same now. Thanks buzz agent and thanks charmin.

I have spent much time in the hospital over the last 2 years. I got to the point where I started to bring my Ultra Strong Charmin with me. I couldn't stand the thin, rough TP that they supplied. I have tried many different TPs and now I won't buy anything but Ultra Strong Charmin! LOVE IT!

we have a problem we have 4 young cats who love charmin . they like to remove it from all 3 bathroom . we have tried other brands no problem. only charmin gets removed. we do like sharmin but using 10 to 12 rolls a week is not good plus the mess. we cant be there all the time to watch. we have even put it on top of the towel wrack the still get it. you got any ideas. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a sample of Charmin® Ultra Strong through BzzAgent for my honest opinion. I think that Charmin Ultra Strong has the strength aspect going for it enormously. It certainly is strong when compared to many other brands who fall apart way too easily considering what it is meant for. That being said the strength is achieved at a cost, it is one of the roughest TP's I have ever used. I use another brand TP specifically because it is the softest I have ever used. While Charmin Ultra Strong is good at getting the job done, the huge difference in softness drops it to 3 stars. I think if they could find a way to keep the strength it currently has and match the softness of other brands, it would be the ultimate TP. Until then, I am going to have to continue with the softness of the other brand but I am definitely open to trying it again in the future if they make improvements.
