It is a great replacement for your current TP if you can break the old habit of using so much, and train yourself to use less. This has been a problem with everyone that I gave some to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok, I'm very particular about my toilet paper. First, the roll fits in the holder just fine. Sometimes you get the double rolls and they are too big to fit, not this one. The toilet paper itself though is very thick, you don't have to use as much to get the job done. Each roll lasted longer than the typical roll I get, which is nice. Finally the product is soft enough that i used it as tissue paper also, very soft. I'm very happy with this product, I will continue to use it. I'm glad that I was given this sample to try.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It cannot be denied that this Charmin Ultra Strong bathroom tissue is actually very strong and holds up well. You will use less than other brands due to it's strength, however, it isn't the softest tissue by any means. For me, this tissue is good, but there is another that I prefer which may not be as strong, but the comfort level is much higher. The Charmin is a bit more expensive, which can be a deterrent, and it tends to have the consistency of a paper towel. We have a septic tank at out house, and one other thing which I have been told by plumbers is that Charmin is not good for septic tanks because it doesn't break down very well. I do like the Charmin Ultra Strong tissue, but it's probably not the tissue for me.

The product is simple and soft. It gets the job done and we have no complaints. For us, choosing toilet paper at the store is generally a redundant process of grabbing whichever product has the best deal at the time. Because of this mechanical process, over time we have had experience with numerous brands. Charmin Ultra Strong toilet paper is one of the few products where neither my wife nor I has had a single complaint so far. I like it because it is very soft in comparison to some of the harsher brands we have tried. My wife likes it because it does not break apart when she uses it. She said that she instantly noticed the toilet paper's durability and that is very important to her. We are happy with this toilet paper. After putting so much consideration into how we felt using the product for the sake of this campaign, we realized we now may want to consider choosing our toiletry products differently when at the store. We understand that choosing toilet paper shouldn't be based solely on finding the best bargain for your buck, it should also be based on experience, quality, and comfort. And while this kit was free so we will not speak to the price, Charmin Ultra Strong certainly lives up to and exceeds these other standards of measurement. We will recommend this brand (and this specific product) to friends and family who like us, often feel overwhelmed in the toiletries aisle with so many options. Shopping should not be about surrendering to what the dollar signs tell us. We should use our brains to determine what may be best, not hold regrets later when you are stuck using a lousy product multiple times throughout the day. You spend enough time in the bathroom so shouldn't you have quality paper products to take care of your business!! I say only the best when I'm sitting on my porcelain throne!! Charmin is my idea of the best! You can tell by the thick soft layers that this isn't your grade school's 1 ply TP!! You get a lot on a roll too so you're not stuck on the throne without you important papers!! Good stuff!!

With the Charmin brand, you know you're going to get a high quality product so I went into this test of the Ultra Strong roll with high expectations. And those expectations were met. The sheets are durable and absorbent but still maintain enough softness for comfort. Because of the sturdy feel to the sheets, there was no urge to "triple up" and thus run through the roll faster than necessary (as I would with a lesser quality product).

I also noticed something that has always bothered me with thicker tp. Lint! I felt like I needed to wipe with a different paper after cleaning with the ultra strong just to get the extra tp left behind (no pun intended) It's always nice to not have a rip in the paper during the messier jobs.However if I'm not totally clean in the end in not happy with the results. And as I said it didn't seam to clean any better as I needed to use just as much as the other brand to get the desired cleanliness.And because I was using the same amount of a thicker paper my toilets clogged a few times. My plunger got more work in a week than in the whole previous year. In summary the product was thick, strong, and soft. But performed poorly in the cleaning department. And clogged my toilet.Would not recommend based on my results.

We found the Charmin Ultra Strong to be strong, yet reminded us of cardboard. The toilet paper was very "stiff" and lacked the softness that many consumers know Charmin for. We also had some concerns with how long this paper takes to break down and if it was really safe for our sewer system.
