Pretty and Good Deal !

I liked the paper for the manual. When I flip the pages, it's super aesthetic and sounds nice. The Legos are in separate bags, super easy. I don't even build Legos, crazy, and it's super big—a good steal.

Nice, But Overpriced

This is my 3rd Lego set, and it’s the first to come without missing pieces. It’s a fairly quick build, taking only a few hours to put together. The building instructions weren’t always clear, consisting of pictures only, and often only showing a view of one angle. I got tripped up a bit when it came to placing the dirt in the pot. I have included pictures of the part that confused me. Looking at the pictures, it appears that two blocks will be overhanging the circle on opposing sides. On the side with the gray piece that holds the flexible tube, you don’t have a choice. The gray piece prevents you from placing a LEGO flush to the trunk. Now, the opposite side could go either way. If you overhang it though, you’ll be leaving a yellow and red plugin near the trunk exposed. Also, you’ll find out that you won’t be able to make a circle with the blue vase pieces. There will be a gap. So, that piece goes to the center, flush with the trunk. It does NOT overhang. All of the brown pieces that are placed on the dirt serve only one purpose…they are spacers. They are there to help you align your vase circle properly. At $70, I don’t feel that it’s a great value for the money. Similar botanical sets can be acquired for $40-$50. For the cost, I feel that that it should be bigger. Also, it’s not panoramic. It only looks good when viewed from the front. It’s rather unattractive when viewed from the sides, and looks awful viewed from the back. Furthermore, despite being nice to look at, it’s not very realistic looking. Even from a distance it’s very obvious that it’s an artificial plant.
