To me, adding this in gives these pieces an extra boost to the scent making them smell great, even longer. I will use this on occasion with my clothes but it's really something I use more for the other items. I put a cap size full of the beads in first, then the dirty laundry, and detergent after. My towels and sheets came out smelling fresh!
