I started out loving them

I wanted to love them, however the last few days I realized how sensitive they are. I can scratch my hair or turn my head and my music would start playing. Also, I’ve been told I sound muffled or very low. It’s not until I move around that I’m heard clearly. I adjust them to see if I sound any clearer, but it didn’t change much. The pros is they stay in my ear without dropping out when I workout. I love that. But I will need to call technical support.

Best Shokz EVER!

I've been using Shokz for over 10 years, from Aeropex to OpenRun to OpenFit. The OpenDots are by far the best you've come out with for running. They're so light, you don't even feel them, yet they're secure. I ran a 50k trail race in them and they were great. And the sound is the best of all your products. Very easy to use and good battery life.

Works for me.

I bought the Shokz open dots one so I could listen to meditation music in bed, which I can't do with headphones, and because the over ear Shokz I can't use with my glasses. I am enjoying their ease of use and I can even roll over on my side while wearing them.

So Far, So Good - Room for Improvement

Bought these as soon as they were on sale as I have the OpenRun2 and love them. These have good sound and after a few attachments to my ears, I have become pretty good at it - it was quite awkward at first. The only thing I don’t like is that I can’t get the speakers to face my ear canal. It seems they would need to be twistable, but I’d rather not compromise wiring. I do have a larger head/ears, so maybe I’m just an anomaly.

Honestly I did not expect

Honestly I did not expect to like these as much as I do! I got the OpenFit 2+ at the same time and was fully expecting to keep those instead of the OpenDots, turned out the OpenFit rubbed against my ears more. The Dots are not only lighter and less noticeable, they also stay on really well. The only minor issue I have is that the sound does change a bit depending on how these sit on my ears, but once I got used to them it's easy to adjust and find the right spot. I will say your own anatomy matters so these may not fit everybody.

Not compatible with long hair

These are not as comfortable as my old Aftershokz bone conducting headphones. Those had some comfort issues, as well, but these are worse. They irritate the backs of my ears. It IS nice that they don't wrap around the back of my head and get tangled in my hair. However, I had to turn off the touch controls. My hair would "tap" and activate the controls as it moved (it's long and curly). So I can't take advantage of one of the ways to interface with the product. I also prefer the sound quality and better ability to hear ambient noise available in the bone conducting headphones over these.

Great Option

The sound quality is great, super comfortable, and easy to connect to my phone. I’ve used 3-4 times. After the second time, I almost returned. The dots were constantly connecting/disconnecting which was frustrating. I’ve run two other times since and I have not had the problem. Using the features (volume, pause, forward) is a little difficult with gloves/hats/hoods on. I’m hoping more use/practice improves my experience.

They are uncomfortable after a few hours. Not sure they even last 10 hours cause hurts too much to wear them that long. The tapping; single, double and triple don't really work consistently. Dots sound better than the OpenRun Pro 2. However the buttons on the OpenRun Pro 2 are much better

Super Convenient

Would have given these a 5 star except had an issue with one of the dots not working and only have owned these a month or so. I put it back in the charger and it worked. Am I getting lucky or is this a telltale of what is to come? They are super convenient to use and very comfortable when i run. They do not move and sound stays consistent. Just worried they won’t last and my warranty will run up.

Secure but not the most comfortable

Currently using for calls and podcasts, and the sound is fine. I'm told the microphone picks up well. The battery life is good, they get uncomfortable before they need to be recharged. They are secure, but seem to pick up touch sensors if I try to adjust them, and other times they don't pick up the touch sensors as well, so it feels like I'm smacking my ears. It's been difficult to learn the different touches for controls, but I think I like not having to push a button.
