great fit but not quality fabric made to last many washings. Maybe one season and then it will only be good for sleeping in. It will more than likely look 50 yrs old after 5 - 10 washings on cold gentle cycle and low heat tumble dried to slightly damp and hung to finish. Even though Modal fabric is tauted to be very strong, there is a reason it is best suited for PJ's, underwear, and bed sheets or non-wearables. It's best selling point is that it's biodegradable. If it winds up in the garbage land fill, or the compost bin it will be completely decomposed in 6 - 24 mths. We should be careful of the type modal used, because knock offs aren't regulated like Lenzing Modal and can be toxic to the water when decomposed due to the highly toxic chemicals it's made from. Skins sensitive to acidic/toxic chemicals should probably avoid clothing or sheets made from Modal for that reason. Rash could result but that's true for wool and polyester, too. So, pick your poison if you have sensitive skin. I have several shirts made from this material and though the sellers say it holds up well in washings, that depends on looking crisp and quality shape maintained, or the crumpled and well-worn look of an old long favorite thread-bare cotton shirt that just feels really good. ?
I am keeping because it was priced affordably and very flowy and breathable. Just for at home lounging and sleeping. Didn't have high expectations and got exactly what I paid for - a house dress for summer use. for less than $20 it is a perfect purchase.
