Weird texture

Weird granular texture because of the protein powder they add. I bought it to add protein into kids diet and they won't eat it like this. Also not very flavorful. Not a strong banana flavor either.

Delicious but TOO MUCH SUGAR!

there is no reason to have that much sugar and that's coming from someone who does like pretty sweet things. the second ingredient is sugar. that's crazy. greedy.

This is bad.

I have had Quaker Maple and Brown Sugar Instant Oatmeal for breakfast every morning of my life since I was two years old. I am now in my twenties. No one is more familiar with or more dedicated to Quaker Maple and Brown Sugar Instant Oatmeal than I. Over the years, I have experienced every variation of shelf life, humidity, water/milk ratio, temperature, microwave power, high/low elevation, etc. Recently, (to my ultimate horror) my store was out of my beloved Quaker Maple and Brown Sugar Instant Oatmeal, and I foolishly believed that this protein version would be an acceptable alternative. Imagine my dismay: After initially ignoring the warning signs of peculiar smell and disturbing viscosity, I tasted what is best described as chemically-infused cardboard with the texture of sand. I feel betrayed, misled, and deeply sad. The most reliable part of my day was ruined by a cruel imposter. It is chewy, hydrophobic, and acted as a desiccant for my mouth. It is reminiscent of beach sand with only slightly less crunch and is equally difficult to process. The natural sweetness of my dear Quaker Maple and Brown Sugar Instant Oatmeal has been replaced by an artificial, chemical taste. For the first time in my life, I was unable to finish eating a bowl of oatmeal. I asked members of my family to help me finish the box, but none had the intestinal fortitude. I have been plunged into a vortex of despair over this experience, but I am even more devastated at this betrayal by a brand I have cherished since before I can remember. If this review prevents even one person from suffering my fate, then it will have been worth my effort.

Wanted to love it but......

The fact that if you read the fine print and there is milk and soy ingredients in it. I'm assuming based on reading the actual ingredient list, that the "whey" is what gives this product its protein. So, while I appreciate the convenience, if I wanted milk or soy in my oatmeal, I'd add that myself. Otherwise, I'd like the protein to come from a non-dairy, non-soy source (both of which some people have intolerance or objection to). Also, this product is high in sugar. The Banana Nut's second major ingredient is sugar. Not good Quaker. Please go back to the drawing board and try harder. The public, or at least me, are looking for more natural, less additive, less sugar products that are good for us, but convenient enough for the work week. Sorry, but the company Real Oats is kinda beating you out with their products because their instant oatmeals are low in sugar, high in fiber, have protein, and are still convenient. I just think Quaker can do better than this product.

Love it

I absolutely love Quaker banana nut instant oatmeal. The banana nut oatmeal was manufactured years ago & I fell in love with it. Then heartbreak, it was nowhere to be found. Thank you so much for coming out with a protein variety of this flavor. Fan for life.

The Banana Nut oatmeal in the six servings box.

I haven't eaten oatmeal since I was a child. I'm fifty years old now and I just recently discovered how good it is. The Banana Nut flavored oatmeal that came in the six count boxes was my favorite. None of the others compared to this one. But I have not been able to find it lately, so, I tried other flavors and I just didn't like them at all. I tried some that sounded good, but it was very, very different, it was labeled at steel-cut. I'm sorry, but it was horrible. I could not eat it, I just did not like the texture at all. So I came on to your website to see who is carrying your product in my area. And now I see that my favorite has been discontinued. Oh well, I enjoyed that for a month, I'll find something else that I enjoy.

Not bad but not as tasty as the regular version

I was looking for a healthier version of instant oatmeal. This is higher in protein and tastes pretty good. It seems like a lot more food per packet so one is enough for me. The only issue is the mushy and thick mouthfeel. I still recommend it and will buy it again but it isn't as tasty as the regular maple %26 brown sugar oatmeal.

Quick and Great Tasting Breakfast!

I am always in a rush to get to work in the morning. I bring one of these packets to work and use the hot water spigot from the coffee maker. I don't even have to microwave it! I love the little bit of crunch the nuts provide and it fills me up until lunch! Great way to start the day!

Horrible.

This tastes like chalky cardboard soup. We tried it because it was marked down and didn't realize this protein-in-everything craze was going on. You'd be better off just mixing some protein powder with regular oatmeal because that's what this is, except the powder they used tastes like paper.
