Bad smell, bad taste

I knew the moment I smelled my oatmeal that I had pick up the wrong box in the store. The product smells odd when you cook it and it taste awful. Maybe if I had not been eating the normal packs of maple and brown sugar, I wouldn't notice the difference, but I knew before I even took a bite! Change the color on the box, do something to make it stand out even more. This stuff is just bad!

Almond cranberry

I love the Quaker oatmeal flavor of almond cranberry. That particular one was not available and I settled for the banana nut. It is not nearly as good as the other flavor. I had previously ordered the almond cranberry which is what I buy at my grocery store but again, was not available. Other than the product, my order was very satisfactory and the prices are awesome!

flavor way different

my husband loves the maple brown sugar flavor so, to improve his diet a little, i decided to try the protein maple brown sugar. my husband hated it. he said the flavor was very different and the consistency seemed different, though he had difficulty finding the words to describe how. but he found the flavor....almost...chalky,or bland?? he is not great with descriptive words but for someone who loves the original maple brown sugar flavor to hate this version so much he refuses to eat it, even when desperate for something hot to eat on a cold morning, i know the flavor must not be any where near the original.

Good flavor, good texture. Not Super Sweet.

Of the 4 Protein Oatmeal flavors, I think I may like the Maple Brown Sugar one the best. I have purchased all of them that I know of and I alternate between the three that I like. The Maple Brown Sugar flavor is slightly sweet, but not over powering like many of the other flavored instant oatmeals. I also like the texture of the Protein version over others. I do find the Banana Bread flavor too sweet for my taste, but I like the Cranberry Almond, App!e, and this one.

Happy monkey

I’m high key in love with this flavor. Idc. It’s seriously so dang good. I’m vegetarian so I really appreciate the extra protein this gives me. I like adding walnuts and plain oatmeal to it to stretch it out. And sometimes a real banana. Makes it even better

Worst Oatmeal Ever!

All these great reviews must be paid reviews. I don’t usually write reviews but this is absolutely the worst food product I’ve ever tasted. The texture was so off (like it had gone through a blender - very fine) and it tasted horrible! I found one tiny piece of a nut. I cannot believe it ever made it to market. Seriously!

cook slowly

This banana nut oatmeal flavor is excellent, however you need to cook it slowly. My first packet was microwaved with almond milk, which was a mistake. The bowl overflowed and the oatmeal didn't cook. Searched the internet and it's recommended to cook with water and cook slowly. Then add milk after it's done. I "fixed" the first packet by stirring and letting it sit to absorb the milk. Microwaved another 30 seconds. Stirred. I let it sit again until it was all absorbed. Then i added about a half cup of bottled water and stirred well. All of that absorbed after a few minutes! It's much creamer now and it's still thick, not soupy. 20 minutes later... the texture of the oats are softer now. All i need to do is heat it up again. This oatmeal seems as finicky as rice when it's cooked. If you happen to discover the right cooking method then this should be your favorite oatmeal. The protein powder isn't noticed. It's a fantastic flavor! I gave it 5 stars because I like it a lot. Just need to ignore the cooking instructions.

Delicious and a generous portion

I decided to try this because of the protein, I have a hard time getting enough. I haven't had instant oatmeal packets in ages so I made the mistake of preparing two packets for breakfast, remembering that a single packet was never very filling. Was pleased to find that a single packet is more than enough and it's delicious too, with nice sized fruit and nut pieces.
