With this flavor I went in unbiased because I’ve never tried takeout honey chicken. I was a little worried what the heat level was going to be like when I first opened it because there were a lot of red pepper flakes. But it wasn’t too spicy at all. The honey really balances out any heat. This got so crispy! The texture of this to me is even better than most takeout I’ve had. This is quite sweet though. I’m not the biggest fan of the flavor of honey, but the flavor profile on this was good because it wasn’t just honey. I would probably get this one again.

I put it in the air fryer and followed instructions but the texture of the fried chicken almost felt chalky. I popped the sauce in a microwaveable bowl and heated it up. It was extremely sweet so I tried to add some peppers and soy sauce to spruce it up. I think if they toned down the sugar it would taste better. This could fill 2 people, but we ended up not finishing it because of the texture. Again, could be because I airfried instead of ovening. Not sure if I'd buy this again.

The general tso was the best of 3 I tried though. It was flavorful with a little kick of spice. It was a tad too sweet though hence the 4 stars instead of 5.
