The elastic is pretty tight - not so much so that it is hard to put on, but it definitely feels like it's not going to move once you put it on. Running my hand over it, it sounds a little loud. The sound is quieter with a fitted sheet on top, but still noticeable. My baby probably won't be able to tell the difference, but opinionated sleepers may notice.

Our boy is big, and right now he's between diaper sizes, so he is having the occasional overflow issue overnight. While nothing could save the sheets, his pajamas or the sleep sack, the mattress is bone dry thanks to this protector. It works great. Also, there has been no noticeable change to our boys sleep, whether it be how easy it is to get him to go to sleep or stay asleep, so I call this a win.

I’ve had many protectors and they let liquid leak right through. This is thick and has the barrier that protects like it should. It’s also stretchy enough to get on the mattress but not too stretchy that it’ll slip off. I’m super impressed!
