I currently drink two other protein shakes that I’m not a huge fan of, but I stick with them for my nutrition goals. Right away, I liked the packaging. The bold, rich colors give the impression of a truly chocolaty experience. Nutritionally, it checks all the boxes I care about: 30g of protein, 1g of sugar, and best of all—5g of prebiotic fiber, which I haven’t seen in many other shakes. That fiber addition alone makes it stand out. As for the taste, it’s… okay. You can tell there are no artificial sweeteners, which is a huge plus health-wise, but it does come with a somewhat bland flavor and an odd aftertaste that’s hard to describe. The chocolate flavor is fine, just not the best I’ve had. The texture is as expected, not too thick which is great to drink be able to chug down- which is what I generally do with these types of drinks. Overall, I’ll drink it again for the nutrition and clean ingredient list, but not for the taste. If flavor isn’t your top priority and you’re looking for a shake with solid benefits and no unnecessary additives, this one is worth trying.

It satisfied my hunger. I will be adding this to my options. I have a hard time getting enough protein.

The ingredients is definitely better than most especially being sweetened with stevia extract, however keep in mind there is still sunflower oil and natural flavors listed. It was great as a protein supplement since it’s easily digestible as a liquid and you don’t have to chew through a protein bar to get the full amount. Highly recommend for camping or as a backup protein supplement when in a pinch.

The chocolate Oikos protein drink is almost shake-like - no weird texture or after taste. I offered a little to one of my sons who really enjoys these types of drinks but is also pretty particular on which ones he will drink. The chocolate Oikos is his new favorite! We'll definitely be buying a supply of these & trying the vanilla as well.
