The bread is stale.  Texture like day old bread not fresh.  Usually this is excellent bread.  I had to grill it to make it able to eat, very dry and hard to eat.

Stale bread

Great healthy choice for my meals . Love the multigrain healthy addition to the loafs. Sandwiches, Toast( French toast also)😋, stuffing . I buy extra when loaves are on sale and wrap two slices in plastic wrap  and  freeze them. They warm up quickly. In the microwave  . The two end slices are shared  with the birds and squirrels . Everyone is Happy🤗
