Not Necessary

I have not used these for my son. But as a teacher in the 2 year old class at a preschool, I have helped to potty train dozens of children. I did not see any advantage to potty training for the kids whose parents bought these (or any) training pants compared to the parents who just went from diapers straight to underwear. If you have the extra money, maybe it will work for your child. But these are harder to change than a diaper for bowel movements, so I personally plan to use regular diapers until my son is consistently using the toilet and then switching straight to underwear (I sometimes see children delaying potty training because being wet or dirty in a pair of training pants is not as uncomfortable as being soiled in a pair of undies)

Okay, but not great

I bought these because my son wanted the Diego design and Pampers are a good brand. I had purchased Huggies prior to this and liked them, but didn't think there'd be much of a difference. I was wrong. Huggies Pull-Ups have the "Easy Open Sides" and that is very convenient. It's so frustrating to have to take off shoes & pants when needing a new pair in a public bathroom. The other thing is that the color change symbols are so light that there's no incentive to keep it there like on the Pull-Ups... he can't see them. He has trouble pulling up both types, but did better with the Pull-Ups. I've never had either type rip when pulling them up myself or having him do it as mentioned by others. I also like that the Pull-Ups have a cool feel as an indicator to him that he's had a bit of a leak and instigates him to use the potty. The Easy Ups don't have anything like that and we have not had any progression toward better potty training. It doesn't bother him to be wet while in the Easy Ups :-( I've also found that they are much more likely to leak at night than the other brand. Size has not been a factor with either brand. I find that I have to edge toward a smaller size since my son is tall and thin, but I have to do that with all brands of diaper/training pants. I just go by the weight measurement instead of the size number and have had good results. I really like Pampers Swaddlers for my infant and have really great results, but the Easy Ups just don't measure up to Pampers' usual high standards. I'm going back to the other brand. Hope this helps the other moms out there.

Great Effective Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pampers product worked well for my son. They are very easy for him to pull up and down him self and don't bunch up. They hold well in the emergency cases that happen in life too while helping train. Overall I'd definitely recommend.

First product choice for me!

I have been through about 7 different brands of pull-ups and easy ups to help with potty training for my son. These are the only ones that have not only caught his attention with the designs and characters but they are more comfortable than any other brand we have tried. They are very absorbant which is amazing because my son can really fill up his potty and pull up.

Pampers easy ups worked great for my daughter!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used for my 4 year old daughter who is learning to potty train. Even tho it was boys, she didn't care. She liked the trains on them, They are way easier to pull up after going potty then the other diapers brands. It also saved me money on buying a pack of diapers for the time being. No leaks. It says 2-3t on here but i got 4t-5t which is okay because it fit her perfectly. Thanks for letting me try this product!

Our Fav

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These training pants are ultra soft, and are the closet product to feeling like real underwear that we've tried. Unlike my experience with the Pull-Up brand from Huggies, Easy Ups from Pampers, are easily pulled down and back up, without tearing at the sides. When you've got a potty training tot, you don't need sides that easily tear like a diaper; for us, this defeated the purpose for using training pants in the first place. The Thomas the Train decor is also a HUGE plus!!!!

New design is poor quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a loyal pampers customer for 17 years, all of my 4 kids have used the Easy Up brand training pants and the quality and fit was second to none. I was greatly disappointed when I bought my most recent pack of Boys 4t-5t Easy Ups when I opened them and saw the new design I nearly broke down in tears. The new super stretchy sides look and feel like a super cheap store brand and tear easily when trying to put them on. Sad to say, I'm forced to switch to Huggies Pull-Ups now.

Best Pull-Up Diapers we've tried!!!

We have tried a lot of different pull-ups for our 2 year-old son. These are by far the best diapers. They have a high absorbency rate (our biggest complaint about other diapers), are easy to change without tearing, and are comfortable for our little one. We have found them difficult to find and have to order them online.

So far so good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We just started using these and so far so good! They are great for my active LO as she runs around and climbs on everything. Design is comfortable an cute. Although I have a girl, she saw the "Choo-choo" so I got both the girls and boys design. We are about to start potty training so I think these will be helpful and work great.

Great training diaper

These are great training pants for a toddler that dislikes and is to busy for diaper changes (like mine). The child will love to pull them up and down. The sides rip easy when you need to remove them that way, it would be easier if they had Velcro sides but if that is your deciding factor use diapers until your child is more ready. I love pampers products and these are no exception. You just need to use a little patience with these training pants... such is life with a toddler :)
