Works well to keep track of your pet.

The cameras work well on these Petcubes. It's easy to set up an account and gain access when you are not home. You have to pay for a prescription in order to get alerts from the cameras, otherwise you can log in and just view live streams. The treat dispenser allows you to dispence multiple sizes of treats as well as quantity based on the size.

Fun for your dogs!

Wow this is a really cool device! My dogs love it for the long days I am at work. They go nuts for a treat coming out when I talk with them over the speaker, and it’s helpful to have two cameras. App is easy to navigate.

Fun

Is this a necessity, no. Is it fun, YES. Thought this would be fun to have when we travel. I like that it has accessories to make it work for different size treats. The treat bin in nice and large. It comes apart so you can wash it. The additional camera moves at a good angle which is nice. I can put it up high so young children don't mess with it. Overall its easy to use. The only problem I have is it says it comes with a three month subscription but there is no code included in the box for that. When you register on the app it gives two weeks.

Camera is great!

The camera function is great! The treat dispenser is a little fussy. I tried soft chews and they were too big even if broken. I think it would work best with a small hard treat. My large dog was manhandling it but also was sitting by it waiting for a new treat! It does want you to sign up for a subscription. There is a nice two way function that you can talk and listen to your pet. I like that I could share password for this camera with my pet sitter or neighbor when I'm traveling and not share our security camera info.

Easy to use pet camera with clear picture

The PetCube Cam & Bites 2 Lite Bundle came with one small camera and the camera with treat dispenser on it. Both cameras have a nice wide view on them. They were easy to set up as well. I opted to just set them up on top of surfaces. They do have the option to mount them as well. Once you download the app, create your account, and link your cameras you can live view. If you want to go back and watch old footage, you have to sign up for one of their subscription options. They offer either monthly subscription or yearly subscription. The optimal subscription only covers one camera and you can only go back 3 days (costs $7.49/mo.). If you go with the premium subscription that costs more (about $12/mo. If you go with the yearly plan which is the better deal), then you can have multiple cameras and can go back 90 days with unlimited video downloads. The premium subscription has other perks as well, such as a 2 year warranty and access to an online vet. My camera came with a discount code for a free one month trial of the optimal plan, so that’s what I opted for. As far as functionality, the picture is very clear, even when the room has little to no light. While viewing live you can zoom in on areas to get a better view. The cameras are motion activated. They are better activated when there is light, unless something large goes by like a person or large dog. As an example, at night only a family member or the dog triggers the motion, not my cats. During the day, the cats do set off the motion and trigger the camera. The treat dispenser option works well too and tosses small treats a decent distance. I did not have any issues with this feature. The play back video feature works well. One thing I did notice is that if you want to zoom in you can not unless you download the video to your device. I found that to be annoying and cumbersome since I do not want to download a video to my phone every time I want to see what my pet is doing at the far end of the room. Overall, the video quality is good. It could serve well as both a pet camera & another security camera in your house.

Fun interactive dog toy

This pet cube cam is an interesting gadget. The camera seems to work well and has good functionality. The treat dispenser is a fun addition, and has really been fun interacting with my dog. It can be a bit finicky at times, but probably just depends on finding the right treat to use. It's been a fun interactive toy to play with my dog.

I See A Doodle!!

I really love the camera and treat thrower. Seeing the pups when I'm not at home is a real treat. The reason I am not giving the product a 5 star review is due to the subscription service. We have two cameras and the subscription service is per camera not allowing more than one camera on the subscription so having two cameras means two subscriptions or just being able to use the live view.

Good for a cat only household.

Tried this product for our cat treats. It THROWS the treats very forcefully and is not the most controlled. We have kids and dogs so this made it hard for the cat to get the treats before a dog or kid reached them. The cameras do work well and are easy to setup. I think this could work for a house that only has cats and no dogs or small kids. If you are just wanting to use the cameras to check your pet then it would certainly do that. The app is easy to use, and explains install really well. If there is any chance that a dog or kid could get one of the cat treats then I would consider only getting a camera not the treat dispenser and camera.

Not as Described, Missing Info, and Tech Issues

Depending on what you see on the product information page, what I received is not as described. What I see has "Interactive Playtime with Built-In Laser Toy" in the description. What I received is the Petcube Mini instead. There apparently is another bundle that comes with the laser toy. That being said, the Mini camera has a difficult time staying connected to the network. I set it up before a trip, tried it out, went away, and then it promptly disconnected for the duration of the trip with no option to reconnect remotely. It is not reliable. The main "Bites" unit worked as expected but my cats are afraid of the dispenser, so far. One last problem is the "3-month Subscription". There are no instructions on how to get the 3-month subscription. No registration number, website, automatic enrollment in the app----nothing. In fact, the free Petcube 2-week trial subscription option only pops up once in the registration process. If you pass it up, you don't get it, I guess. I'll take it up with the local club, but this is more of a hassle than I anticipated.
