Good idea, BUT

It's a neat idea but poorly executed. The brainiac engineers put the HDMI connections where they are practically inaccessible to anything other than a straight wire in. I got this specifically to add a ROKU Stick for internet reception. They emphasize the Tuner like it is a great feature only if you are in or very near a good-sized city. I'm now trying to figure out what adapter might work for this. Maybe I will sooner or later. Until then I've a large brick with a TV screen.

Can't stream from your phone to the TV!

Can't stream from your phone to the TV. What's the purpose of having this unless you can stream from your phone to watch on the TV?

In order to play video, you will need to use an HDMI cable or the Over-The-Air (OTA) TV antenna that comes with your unit. On the back of the Monster Vision is a small compartment where you can connect the HDMI or OTA TV antenna. If you wish to use your phone to stream video to the Monster Vision, you will need to use an HDMI adapter. The type of adapter you need depends on the port your phone uses to charge.
