I was shocked to discover that Lenovo ships this laptop with a USB-C charger even though it has a standard Lenovo charging port!! So, Lenovo doesn't think we're going to want to use that USB-C port for a 2nd Monitor or something? It's nice that we can use it as an optional charging port, but that's what it should be - our option. Lenovo, you should be shipping the round barrel adapters with these machines (they did the same thing to me 2 weeks ago on a high-end Core Ultra machine)! I knock 1 star off for that silliness. Then, the whole industry is just being stupid when they solder RAM to the motherboard but have a legitimate SODIMM slot, as well. Why solder RAM chips that could fail and cause a very expensive repair when you have a perfectly good slot? Just stick a 16GB module in the slot instead of the 8gb/8gb deal and you're good to go. better yet, go back to the really desirable method of providing 2 slots for RAM. There is certainly enough unused space inside this chassis to make the motherboard larger. Anyways, I knocked a star off for that, as well. Now, on the other hand, this machine rocks. I love this Lenovo for the separate power button, 180 degree hinges, webcam cover - and the Legacy LAN port. The keyboard is easy to get used to and the screen looks real good. Easy access to inside. A full-size 2280 M.2 slot (even though they use a 2242 with adapter) is nice. One more USB-A port would have been nice. Asus is very good about 4 USB ports in their mid-range and high-end laptops. Wish Lenovo would do that, as well. 3 is just 1 port shy of what I use / want on my machines. But very fast, very upgradeable (to 24GB or 40GB RAM and a bigger M.2 drive) and easy to load (Windows Update found all the drivers).
