I used it as a refreshing spray in the morning on my type 3c curls and it did soften and add shine but I used about half of the bottle. The nozzle is hard to use if you need a lot of product because the product comes out in small pumps and my hand was getting tired. Otherwise, it smells very good. I would not recommend this product to anyone with very thick or dense hair just because you would need so much of it to even make a small difference and I still didn't spray enough to be able to detangle. If you are willing to spray half of the bottle worth of product, it did make my hair very soft.
