It supposed to hydrate, strengthen, improve shine, repair, and provide heat & UV protection. However after a good amount of uses I can't tell the difference in my hair. It has a very universal nutty smell that majority of hair products have and besides making it easier to comb my hair after spray I can't see anything different.
