There was no residue or film left on my hair when I put it on, it made my hair feel really really soft after it was all dry (it was hard to keep my hands away from my hair) and I think it performed exceptionally well for an affordable leave in mist. I also had no issues when it came to washing my hair days after, it wasn't greasy from the product, and I feel it's great for those who have thick course hair because it doesn't make the hair frizzy and it helps soften any coarseness that arises.
