Handles weak

A very nice set. However, I wish there were additional pieces to complete the set.

Positives: Nice looking, spacious room for clothes and shoes with smooth rolling wheels. Negatives: When open both sides, the luggage seems big, hard to manage. The outside material not sturdy enough, and scratches easily.

Loved this set, I've always bought Samsonite luggage and it is great quality and Sams service was right on time, I would highly recommend them

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought in Jan 2025, haven't used the checked bag but will now in May however the carryon worked great, just used in Feb and really liked it seems durable. Also went online and signed up for the 10-year warranty.

On my first trip with this luggage, the large bag's zipper came completely open twice - once when I put it in the back of an SUV and once during baggage handling on the return flight. It is a poor quality zipper and/or poorly designed! The TSA lock is located on the opposite end from the bag's wheels. That leaves one leg of the zipper having to hold one entire long side plus 1-1/2 short sides. Having the TSA lock in the center of the zipper closure would definitely help. It appears that the problem occurs when the flat side of the bag is compressed and then quickly decompressed. The zipper then separates. The total weight of my bag and contents was just under 40 pounds, so the bag was definitely not over-loaded! I will be returning this set and looking at a better-made brand.

The carryon was not expandable as stated in two separate answers in the Q&A section. I like the luggage and the burgundy color was nice; however, I will be returning these as I need both the carryon and the checked luggage pieces to be expandable. Would have given a much better rating if both pieces were expandable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I took the large suitcase on just one trip internationally and it held up nice. The wheels go glide/rotate a little nicer but they were doable.
