Alternative for non-seafood eaters to get fish oil

When I have to choose fish for my diet I’d rather just use fish oil. Never acquired a pallet for it. Plus, I can take it daily without giving it much thought.

Stay away from this product

Changing to a different manufacturer is not a great way to keep customers. Especially when the fish burp factor comes from and center. My suggestion. Don’t buy this product

This Omega Dietary Supplement works for me!

I take this daily and all I can say is that my health remains very good at 74 years old. My blood work analysis is always very good and I assume that this supplement has aided in this.

The best I've Tried!

I've used a whole lot of Omega fatty acid supplements over the decades. This store-branded product is the best formula I've ever taken for inflammation by a significant margin. Can't tell you exactly why. Maybe the proper level of GLA in the mix... Anyway, I take two of these and a baby aspirin daily for pain with great results (read up on "aspirin-triggered" biosynthesis of eicosanoids called resolvins and protectins via the COX enzyme pathway). The other products just don't work as well. Keeps my triglycerides low, too.

Great supplement

Since I started talking these a year ago my labs have never been better! My bad cholesterol is down, good cholesterol up and triglycerides are way down. Highly recommend these. They don't have a bad taste and don't cause stomach upset or gas.

Beware

One of the primary keys to good health is maintaining a proper balance of omega 3 6 9 fatty acids in your diet. Researchers agree that the optimal omega ratio should be between 2:1 to 4:1. That is, you should consume at least double the amount of omega-3’s compared to the other fats. Because omega-6 fats are commonly found in vegetable oils, nuts, and grain-fed meats, they aren't a fat most Americans are deficient in. This is problematic because, despite being essential, these fats can become downright unhealthy when the ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 gets higher than 4:1. Omega-6s are essential in certain quantities, but they are in many foods and people following a Western diet already consume too many of them. Additionally, omega-9 fats can be produced by the body and are easily obtained in the diet, so you don’t need to take them in supplement form. Therefore, although combined supplements contain optimal omega 3-6-9 ratios, taking just omega-3s will likely provide you with the most health benefits.

Read the labels for the 'missing' infomation

When the Member's Mark red label Omega 3 was out of stock I purchased this bottle, not realizing that some of the Member's Mark Quality had sunk to this level. They are half strength, so you have to take 2 to get what the 1030 mg per serving. This is also the bottle that contains fish oil from China. I prefer to support USA products when possible. This is not the bottle that says Mercury Free which is a major concern. This is not the bottle that is Certified Sustainable Seafood. Also this bottle is not marked with the 100% Members Mark Quality Guarantee. By the time that you compensate for having to double the pills, you are paying almost as much as if was the Member's Mark Red Label Omega 3, but getting a vastly inferior product. What is on the label concerns me and what is not on the label also concerns me.

Excellent product, Delivery issues

TWICE delivered to wrong address. Delivery driver apparently follows bogus GPS directions ( gps NOT fool-proof (been there)) and DOES NOT verify street number. SAM's response was rapid and ultimately satisfactory, stellar, in fact. HOWEVER, carrier needs to take corrective action; either update GPS or educate drivers.

Omega 3-6-9

Yesterday I was diagnosed with hypertriglyceridemia, a form of high cholesteral. My doctor prescibed Fenofibrate. The Sam's pharmacist recommeded pairing prescription with a fish oil supplement so I can be more sucessful in treating my high cholesterol. We chose this one. I really appreciate the pharmacists help.

Pls do NOT produce this - its damaging to our Chol

Sams pls do NOT produce this! Its is harming people like me. My cholesterol and Metabolic syndrom WORSENED after taking this for 6 months. After a lof of medical research I found out that this oil IS Dangerous Oil! as it has vegetable sourced oils that are causing cardiovascular disease. Look for Omega 3 from wild wish that eats algae. If Omegas are sourced from ANY other source they are NOT helping our Mitochondrial health or Metabolic Syndrome.
