This product was received for free and I was not paid for my review. I tried these protein cookies with much skepticism despite positive reviews from others, but they have earned their title as a true cookie. The first bite was pleasant in both texture and flavor. I slowly ate the rest of the cookie deep in thought, considering each bite and how I truly felt about the product. The taste is a blend of a traditional sugar cookie and a vanilla cake. The texture is a hybrid of a soft cookie and fluffy cake, comparable to a moist scone. I am removing one star for a couple minor reasons. Appearance wise, the package image is much more appealing than the actual cookie. The image boasts plentiful, evenly distributed sprinkles, whereas the actual sprinkles were sparse and somewhat dull in color. The cookie is plenty sweet despite only 1g of sugar, but the artificial sweeteners and flavors made the cookies decadent in way that left me feeling like I had eaten more than enough when I was only a third of the way through the second cookie. There was a slight dairy-like aftertaste, but that is to be expected from the protein. Overall, I deem this product satisfactory. Would I eat them again? Yes…in two weeks minumum, one per day max.
