[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cleaner is small and easy to store which makes it perfect for apartment living! I used this machine to clean the carpet of an apartment before I moved in and wow! It was kind of gross seeing how filthy the water turned. I also have a dog who occasionally has accidents and a long haired cat who regularly leaves hairball messes for me. This cleaner puts me at ease knowing that it is able to remove any trace of my animals. It is a lightweight which makes cleaning a breeze. My only con is that I felt like I had to replace the water/cleaning solution too often based on how small the tank is and it performs a little more loudly than I thought it would. Overall, I highly recommend. I received this product in exchange for writing an honest review.

I purchased 2 other TOP brand uprights over the years, the purchase of the Hoover PowerDash for small areas and pet stains is by far superior. It performed as Hoover states and even better! For a small cleaner, it's amazing: easy to maneuver, keeps water away from furniture, deep-cleans. For the reviews that state the water canisters are small; it was made for small areas. I didn't mind at all changing the water for the areas I shampooed and the fantastic cleaning it did on stains left over from other brands (for years). It was great being able to stand doing the carpets with an upright, rather than on my knees with my portable for pet stains. I did 2 hallways, 1/2 our large living room, a set of steps and around the bed in our 4K foot home. All this and emptied the water only 3 times. The ONLY improvement I would suggest is to be able to secure the cord high on the handle when in use. I used a removeable zip-tie to secure it. This would help in movement while shampooing to keep the cord away from the head.

Only used the carpet cleaner twice and the second time the removable nozzle piece won't sit right so the suction to get the water into the dirty water tank is horrible. I had to strap it down to get enough suction to even use it. Definitely don't recommend this carpet cleaner at all. Looking to try something else since I wasted my money on this.

This carpet cleaner has been great when it comes to getting out the stains and smells. We also recently cleaned all the rugs and carpets and they look brand new.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hoover PoweDash Compact is small but mighty. It is simple to assemble, lightweight and compact for storage in a closet. Easy to operate, no issues maneuvering however the water tank is small so refills are needed often. Dries in a fair amount of time. Overall the carpet cleaner is great and does a good job of cleaning rugs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use my new Hoover power dash pet compact carpet cleaner in my home and my grandmother's home. It's lightweight, easy to use, and easy to clean. We were both surprised at the amount of dirt and pet hair it pulled from the carpet. We used the soap pods and they worked great. I was pleasantly surprised at how well this lightweight carpet shampooer worked.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The PowerDash Pet Compact Carpet Cleaner was easy to put together. I have 2 smaller (long-haired) dogs which bring in dirt and also occasionally have accidents. I tried the carpet cleaner on a urine spot after pre-treating with an enzyme cleaner. It seems to have worked well and the area dried quickly. I didn't try the Powerdash on a larger area yet but the only downside I can think of would be the smaller tank size. I do need to state that I received the product for free in exchange for writing this review. I also want to say that I looked up the base price and feel that it's value is good for people who live in apartments, etc.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Right out of the box I could tell this is a very well manufactured carpet cleaner, very well built. I cleaned my bedroom carpet and it did an amazing job. After cleaning the carpet it was easy to take apart and clean. I have found with other cleaners the tanks are hard to clean with build up but not this one it was very easy to clean. I highly recommend it to any one looking for a new carpet cleaner.

Sadly, this is the worst purchase I've made for a carpet cleaner. The dirty water tank design is non-sensicle and practically impossible to thoroughly clean. To make matters worse, once you use it, the dirty water leaks back out onto the floor. So after I'm done cleaning the carpet, I have to clean the trail of dirty water and then fight to clean the dirty water tank. Do not recommend. It creates more work.

It works great on carpet and rugs. We need a carpet cleaner with our three cats. Cats never throw up or have a hairball on the tile or laminate and always choose the carpet or rugs. Lol. This product is so easy to use and light to carry. It would be an even better product if it had an upholstery attachment because pets and people make messes on furniture too. I was impressed with the product and how effective it is.
