Un-anticipated Extra Benefit from This Purchase

We had to purchase this replacement passenger side tire for an unanticipated damage situation, as described below, but along with that replacement, Mr. Matthew, the Sam's Club technician recommended we also include a TPMS Kit small purchase price to assure proper functionality of the tire wheel air valve stem. Tire Damage Situation: While driving about 1.5 miles at night from our house in our vehicle, we heard very significant vehicle vibrations from the passenger side. So, we then stopped and noticed the rear-passenger side tire was flat. Thankfully, we were able to re-inflate it with a special tool stored in the vehicle, and we were able to drive back to the house, but at that time we did not know why the tire became flat. The next day we realized the tire had been flattened by a large nail into the tread surface and the tire wall surfaces were subsequently and permanently damaged due to its flat rolling condition. After all work service completion by Mr. Matthew, while driving we also noticed the vehicle's “excessive low tire-pressure” dash-board indicator light was now shut-off. This indicator light had been staying on for the past two years, and our regular auto repair technician had previously suggested we frequently check tire pressures or pay a very large price estimate to figure out and fix which of our 4-vehicle tire valve stems was the cause for it to have remained on so long.

Great service. They explained the problem they found when starting a rotation request and showed us why they would not do the rotation until one tire was replaced. They make it clear why that tire would not be safe much longer the way it had worn, and that it was not the kind of problem that could be fixed without replacement. No excuses, no pressure, just a clear, intelligent explanation of the situation and what they recommended. Also, the out of the country person who made the initial appointment was very courteous, very articulate, and easy to understand. And I appreciated that when I made the appointment to have the new tire installed (it had to be ordered and came in just a couple of days) I was able to speak to someone in the same shop that was going to do the work.

Seriously, simple plug turned into a new tire!

I came in to get a mug put in my tire. There was a nail in the flat portion of the tread. They informed me that side wall was worn and thought that I should have seen that. They refused to repair the nail and I had to purchase a new tire……I felt like they took advantage of me! I could have gone to Tire Kingdom and they would have put a plug in. The side wall issue had no bearing on the tire……

Tire not properly balanced.

This is the second tire I purchased (this year) from Sam's. After having this tire installed, the front end of my car developed a vibration. I assumed it was the front end needing an alignment, so I took it to the Ford dealership. When they checked the car out they found neither of the tires installed by Sam's was properly balanced. The newest tire had 5 ounces of weights on it and it only needed 2.25 ounces. This cost me $145.00 to have the tires properly balanced. Not sure if it was the attendant or their machine needs recalibrating. I still like shopping at Sam's and love the ScanNGo feature.

I purchased the tires the week before and made the installation appointment at 8 AM for the next week. When I arrived for installation they told me I didn't have an appointment. When the lead (salesman) arrived he tried to tell me my appointment was the day before. I knew that I did not make it for that day because It had a prior commitment for that day. Two and a half hours later I had my tires. There is no waiting room. No where on my receipt did it have my appointment. I did not receive any text or email reminding me of my appointment.

Terrible Experience

I bought these tires but 2 weeks later BEFORE they were installed, i decided to get a refund.. I went back to the tire area to get a refund and the technician told me without even looking up my account that I would get a refund ! He Didn't remember me and he didn't know me so I felt very uncomfortable that i was never getting a refund , so I went to the store manager , joe... Almost 2 hours later, and 3 different associates later, i finally got my refund.. That reminds me of the only other time i had to return an item and the grief i went through trying to get my refund there.. Sam's Club does have some good prices, but never never ever hope you have to return an item.They just will not want to take it back.And will do everything they can to stop you !!

Overinflated my tires when installing

The staff significantly overinflated the tires. When I went to the store to discuss, the woman immediately told me that the indicator light on my dashboard was probably because the weather had gotten cooler. For starters the light came on the same afternoon I had the tires installed and the temperature was only a few degrees cooler (like 68 vs. 72) and secondly the ultimate issue was them being improperly overinflated. The entire experience made me decide to not ever trust Sam's again because the inflation to the proper level is the easiest part and they can't even get that right.
