London Fog Ladies Packable Down Jacket

It fits perfectly and is just warm enough for the climate I live in

Nice Jacket

Lightweight, but warm.  Love the length and style of the jacket.  The hood zips off too.

Light weight but very warm with hood that stays on and sleeves that stay around the wrist.

The sleeves are not really finished.  They need a cuff.

Disappointed

The seam at the bottom in the back was poorly sewn, causing all of the fill to come out when washed.  The bottom back section has no insulation now and made quite a mess in the washing machine.

Poor construction

For the price, this DOWN coat is a real bargain! I have down coats from Eddie Bauer, two coats from Marmot and a North Face down coat that are extremely well made, stuffed with down filling and semi waterproof. They are also very expensive coats. These coats are made for below zero weather. On the other hand, this beautiful red coat from London Fog is very warm. It holds up to our 30° days and 20° nights here in Chicago. While not water proof, it holds the heat even on drizzly days!  I just love the color! It's very hard to find a down coat in a beautiful bright red, and is one of the main reasons I bought it. (Some women collect shoes, I collect coats)  I was so surprised to find how thin yet warm it is. Not at all like the puffy down coats I am used to. This London Fog coat is also figure flattering! Imagine a down coat that is very warm, more than reasonably priced, cute and  figure flattering! I plan to buy one more if I can find it at the club in my area. The only thing I don't like and keeps me from giving 5 stars  is that the hood and collar are stuffed with polyester. But for under $40.00, you can't have everything!! I would absolutely recommend this coat to a friend and get compliments every time I wear it.  Buy this coat if you want a washable, figure flattering, light down coat for this winter. Don't let the absence of bulk fool you, this coat is warm!
