Found on a whim at Walmart, I originally went for a high velocity floor fan, but everything except the small tapletop fans and battery-powered jobsite fans were sold out. This was on a shelf with a half-price sticker, had been returned/marked down the day before. Originally 65.99, which I would not have paid, but I got it for 32.98, which I felt was a fair price for a decent fan with remote. Wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised... like the overall appearance, the digital display, and the 4 different modes, each with 4 strength levels. Love the oscillating and timer features. The one downside I see, is the floor plate that comes in 2 pieces, you snap together to form a circular base, it feels very cheap. I was afraid I might crack it trying to snap together, the user manual says not to run the fan without the base, so if it ever does break, I hope there's a replacement part offered, or I'm SOL! lol. I was shocked by the amount of air flow and cooling it gives off on its normal setting. At the lowest level one is very quiet, but still cools very well. I haven't had to try "sleep" mode yet, because it's quiet enough on the regular setting's low level. The oscillation reaches one side of my living room to the other. The room is roughly 12ftx20ft with 8 ft ceilings, I tested the fan on standard level 4, the air flow reached across the room from either direction. My box was missing the quick start guide, but I did get the user manual, which I wished gave a bit more detail. I plan to check out the DREO website and browse the internet, to get a better understanding of features and fan maintenance. Pleased with my purchase and would buy again knowing the quality air flow it gives off. Hope it lasts, but I did buy the 2 year additional warranty at Walmart.
