It has a rich vanilla taste and best of all, they use all real ingredients. It is so smooth and creamy. This is my new favorite vanilla ice cream. I definitely recommend you try this, you will not be disappointed. It's so yummy.

The new recipe is awful. The taste has changed so much I will never consider buying it again. Your product was a great one. Why change it??? The new taste is icier and milky unlike the previous version that was smooth and creamy. Our family will not consume your brand anymore.

Vanilla Ice Cream is my favorite!!… Of all ice creams!!!.. I wish there was a lower sugar (not artificial sweetener) version!! I also wish there was an “other” category in the “How can we improve..” questions below! I could have said “a bit less sweet!”..

My family doesn't buy it often because it is expensive, but it's a favorite treat when we do get ice cream. If we have company and need ice cream to go with a homemade desert I stick with this one.

Haagen Dazs vanilla has been a staple in my life since childhood. I used to marvel at how something as simple as vanilla ice cream could be made so creamy and decadent. And here's the thing-- it was special because it was so unlike all the other ice creams you could get at the store, many of which were foamy, and had a characteristic "whipped"-ness that I never really cared for. Unlike these, Haagen Dazs was dense (though never hard), and melted into the silkiest, creamiest puddles with the texture of thick, sweetened milk, perfect for eating straight up or serving with warm, homemade pie. Unfortunately, something has changed. A couple of weeks ago, I bought a carton of my beloved vanilla ice cream dressed up in new packaging, with a blip on the side claiming "new and improved recipe." Well, it may be new, but boy was it disappointing. The texture was completely different. It was harder than usual, and less dense. Not as creamy. I ate it anyway, trying not to let it melt or soften at all in the bowl because when it does, it becomes slightly frothy --Not the decadent velvety cream I remember. I even bought a second carton from a different store to make sure it wasn't a spoof or a badly handled carton that had gone strange in refreezing. Nope. Second carton was the same. Very disappointed in this new change, and will likely be looking for a new staple vanilla.
