I too am disappointed with the new Vanilla flavor. I have bought the ice cream at numerous stores thinking maybe I got a bad batch, or the freezers at these stores froze it too much, or any other reason I could think of that wasn't that Haagen Daaz changed their perfect vanilla ice cream. This is the only ice cream I would buy and have a hard time not finishing the entire pint in one sitting.. Now the same pint of vanilla ice cream has been sitting in my freezer for the last week only because I don't want to throw it away and waste it. I never write reviews, but I feel pretty strongly about this that I no longer have a favorite ice cream that has with me since I was a child. Hopefully Haagen Daaz listen s to their consumers again and changes it back.

I picked up the half gallon size knowing that I could not go wrong with the purchase and not wanting cheap out on a birthday treat. Well at least the kids didn't know better. I may as well have picked up any other vanilla as this had the same flavor profile as a store brand or other national brand's vanilla. There was something missing to the lusciousness of taste and mouth feel that I remember. Big disappointment for me.

I do miss the black cherry Amaretto gelato you got rid of a couple years ago. But I still look for your ice cream first. I'm in Texas, and I will risk telling people that H-D is better than Blue Bell.

My favorite ice cream for 40 years. New pint and tasted different-not as creamy and not as good vanilla flavor. Read the ingredients and now says vanilla extract and not Madagascar vanilla. Also has a note on the container saying they have a new recipe. 40 years a fan but will be looking at other brands now.

Unfortunately this is not the dense creamy amazing treat it use to be. It use to have an almost yellow hue to it- now there's so much more skim milk verses cream that it's whiter, lighter, and just not worth the money anymore. I know things are more expensive now and improvising for cost is ok.. but vanilla ice cream is such a pure experience. And yalls use to be the best! Cut corners on something chocolatey or busy so it's less noticeable. Not our clean classic vanilla!

I love the limited, real ingredients. If I'm going to eat a high calorie food I want it to be a good one and this ice cream is perfection in a container.

I am on a diet but I can still eat this delicious ice cream. I buy one pint and divide it into 8-10 baking cups. Refreeze. Since there are 830 calories in a pint, dividing it up creates 100 or less calorie treats I can savor every evening. Its a real treat!

The texture was so icy I had to go back to see if I bought ice milk or a non-dairy product. The taste was as though someone watered it down. Simply unacceptable for such a high price-point. I'm assuming you six sigma'd the heck out of your process to make this at the lowest pricepoint and it shows in lack of quality.
