This is going to be a gift that I was glad to get in time for Christmas at a good price.

good machine. not mych of an upgrade from the first switch. not worth an extra $500

You can’t go wrong with switch 2 and mario kart.

It’s just a better Switch and Nintendo is charging way too much for this and the games. You can’t even purchase hard copy games anymore. I have digital downloads for my other systems, but I also have hard copies so I can share with friends or even sell the game for credit towards another game. Nintendo has removed all of that. If you buy a “hard copy” from the store, you will find a code for a digital download when you open the game case - no game cartridge. It doesn’t feel like you own anything with this. You’re only leasing it. If this purchase was for me I’d take it back, but it was a gift and they seem pretty happy with it.

overall the Switch 2  is an awesome upgrade from the original, However it's definitely on the heavier side and it's quite large so be aware of that, I highly recommend a grip for it.

this is not the console I'd recommend if you're playing AAA games or the newest fps. I highly recommend this system if you're interested in Nintendo games exclusively. it will definitely play new games decently but don't expect to have great graphics.
