Fantastic upgrade for Switch owners

I've used the Switch 2 extensively over the past 24 hours and I love it, it's exactly what I was hoping for. Starting with the ease of migrating everything over from the original Switch. It looks amazing on my 4K TV, my Switch 1 games play better than they ever have, and playing Tears of the Kingdom (surely the best game in the last decade) with buttery smooth 60fps and 4K is almost worth the price of admission alone. The new Joy Cons are excellent, a marked improvement over the originals, and the new screen is a thing of beauty. I also want to give Nintendo credit for allowing full backwards compatibility of accessories, so we were able to play 4 player Mario Kart World on day 1 without having to buy any extra controllers (I was actually even able to use my Wii U GameCube controller adapter. Just mind-blowing that Nintendo have allowed me to carry controllers through 20 years of console iterations!) First impressions are excellent, I'm looking forward to seeing what they're able to do with this new platform!

Nintendo Switch 2

The switch 2 is genuinely worth the price. It runs games very well and is probably the best handheld gaming device to buy. It may not be as powerful as the Xbox or PlayStation, but neither is the steam deck. The console itself is very high quality, and the screen (though lcd) is incredible and looks amazing. As for exclusives Mario kart world is amazing, and while that and Gamcube Online are the only games available at the moment, we have many more coming in just a few months. Welcome tour is also very fun and I am looking forward to drag x drive.

for the exclusives

the system is similar to switch 1 and plays about the same with some updated stuff but the issue with switch 2 is the high price and also the game price which is high too and the fact that many games are a download and not all physical. if you can forget about those issues, its a good system but not the best out there. it still lags behind 5 year old system like ps5. i got it for the exclusives otherwise i would not get it.

CHECK THE BOX FULLY BEFORE SENDING IT BACK !!

Unfortunately picked this up for more than the base price. When it was delivered, the seal was missing. I opened it up, and it did not have the download code for Mario Kart World. We were about to send it back, until I had found out that the game was actually pre-installed, rather than needing to be installed via a code. This is determined by how the box is designed. If the Mario Kart graphic is PRINTED ONTO THE BOX, it's pre-downloaded, and can be claimed by simply checking the e-shop. If the Mario Kart graphic is ON A STICKER STUCK TO THE BOX, then it is to be downloaded via an included download code. Regardless, I would still power up the system to check for it before sending it back. DO NOT transfer your data from your previous Switch (if you had one) right away, however. The game can only be claimed via one Nintendo account per device (I believe? Don't fact check me on that, better to be safe than sorry), and if you claim it on an account that isn't your pre-existing one, you basically screwed yourself. Not only that, but you'll also lose save data from specific games on your Switch 1, and you can't transfer them back. You can always factory reset the console to do the transfer right after checking to see if you can claim the game. Other than that, the box was missing the HDMI cable (but we have a ton of those laying around the house, and I just ended up using the one from my old switch), and the Joycon Straps, but I don't really care for mouse controls, so I didn't bother worrying about it too much. Despite my little scare, and the 2 missing items, I've been having a lot of fun with the Switch 2 so far! However, I would very much recommend waiting for it to be sold at base price, to ensure you're buying it directly from Nintendo to avoid any issues.

Per one switch per memember

Because we don't want scalpers hoarding Switch 2 and upgrade the price which ruins the purpose having a membership.

Amazing

Great build quality, games run very smootly, screen is a huge upgrade from the original launch Switch model. Overall a great successor to the switch 1.

More like a switch pro

Mario kart as the only launch exclusive makes this a hard sell, but thankfully the backward compatibility can help revitalize games from an already existing switch collection!
