The flavor was kind of bland and for what it was I’d rather pretty much anything else. This would be easy enough for me to recreate myself without the long ingredient list that if I wanted something like this I would probably just do that. The concept is good, just execution not so much.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited to try this! My family loves Mexican food so when I made enchiladas, I used this as the side and it was a big hit! It took 90 seconds to heat up so it made dinner so fast and easy. I appreciated the no artificial flavors and no color from artificial sources- it looks like they are trying to be health conscious which is great! It tasted just like Spanish rice and was super yummy! Definitely will look for this when I’m in the grocery store next!

It has an adequate amount of protein to either have as a snack or pair (like we did) with something else. The texture is great as the rice doesn’t turn mushy and the beans have a good bite to them too. We only wished maybe it had a bit more salt to bring out the flavor profile a bit more. The scent was so big upon opening the bowl so definitely brought you in for more. Looking forward to adding these to my boys lunch where they can microwave at school for something different.

It’s good for what it is, it’s not a freshly made meal. It was very easy to prepare, just peel back a corner and pop into the microwave for 90 seconds. I have a basic microwave, and it heated this meal perfectly, so it’s accurate timing. In terms of flavor, it was pretty good. For a boxed dinner, surprisingly not salty (I actually had to add salt). The beans and rice were soft, I don’t like when they’re grainy and undercooked, which most boxed dinners are. I didn’t expect to enjoy it but I did and it was a good portion size for me.

Upon opening the package, I noticed a strange odor and found that the contents were spoiled. The beans and rice had an off taste, making it inedible. This was quite disappointing as I was looking forward to a quick and tasty meal. I appreciate the concept of convenient street food, but the quality control needs significant improvement. I hope this feedback helps in ensuring better quality in the future.

Some believe there any real nutritional value in this and the sodium is kind of high.I wouldn’t purchase this item on my own.
