The picture quality for C5 completely stunning and all additional features including faster processor, better sound definitely make it worth the upgrade and quite affordable as prices started to go down. The Alpha 9 Gen8 processor makes everything look sharp, especially in Dolby Vision content. Gaming is fantastic with 144Hz support, low input lag, and smooth motion, perfect for PS5. webOS is fast and easy to use with the magic remote. Highly recommended for movies and gaming!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the 65" LG C1 OLED for about 5 years and have been really happy with it, so I honestly didn’t think a new TV could impress me that much more. I finally decided to upgrade to the 77" C5 after seeing all the positive reviews—and I was stunned the moment I turned it on. The picture quality is just on another level: the blacks are inky, colors are rich without looking cartoonish, and the extra brightness really makes HDR movies and shows pop. The larger 77" size is incredibly immersive, especially for movies and sports, but it still feels sharp and detailed, not stretched. Motion handling is smooth, which has been great for both fast-paced action and gaming. The smart TV interface is snappy and easy to use, apps load quickly, and all the usual streaming services run flawlessly. Gaming on this thing is a dream—low input lag, great response, and everything just looks so clean and vibrant. Overall, I already loved my C1, but the C5 feels like a true step up in every way. If you’re on the fence about upgrading, especially from an older OLED, I can genuinely say I absolutely love this TV and have zero regrets.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] LG makes the screens for several vendors and they really have a terrific process and as a legacy branded industrial engineering firm, they build systems that both perform and dazzle. This 77 has it all. The image quality is fabulous, crisp and there remotes are responsive. We replaced the 65" B processor with the 77 C processor and it is a nice step up, but the B still commands watching sports or movies, the 65 is in the smaller den. I watch the usual through ROKU boxes, subscribe to YOUtubeTV and the major premium channels and have great image quality but not as good as BlueRay DVD but i only have 1 DVD because I gave them away for convenience...99% of what I watch is streamed and this gives you great image quality and sound, too...i have yet to want to bring my Paradigm system with the big Yamaha amplifier up to connect it to this 77 because it is good enough....and for concerts we wear the headsets through the ROKU or the LG blue tooth....great combo, I have grown to rely on LG.

This C5 OLED comes with an amazing amount of clarity and brightness that helps if you have a bright room. Out the box, the colors all pop on each picture setting. There's no tinkering that needs to be done. I hooked it up with my PC and PS5 and you can tell the extra Hrz really helps with gaming. I cannot think of any negatives but if you're on the fence between a 65 inch or 77 inch, go for bigger. That's a huge difference in size and it really helps bring out the picture. The TV is bright, colors are vivid, and the contrast is excellent. The performance of the TV made quite the cinematic experience, and true 4k resolution also helps in creating that. Remote control is simple to use. The sound quality is also very good, best that I have seen in a tv without any external speakers. There are enough connectivity options, though I only use the HDMI2 for ARC connection to my AVR.

The perfect blacks that OLED is famous for are here, but the addition of the Brightness Booster tech means HDR movies and sunny scenes finally pop, even in my moderately bright living room. Colors are vibrant and accurate right out of the box. ​As a serious gamer, the 144Hz refresh rate, G-Sync, and FreeSync support, combined with the four HDMI 2.1 ports, make this TV unbeatable. My console and PC games run flawlessly—smooth, crisp, and with zero lag. ​My only minor critique is the built-in sound; while decent for dialogue, it doesn't do justice to the stunning visuals, so a soundbar is a must for a truly cinematic experience. The new Alpha 9 Gen 8 processor keeps the WebOS interface fast and responsive, and the design is impossibly thin and sleek. The picture quality is far superior to my old set, with stunning brightness and saturation. Before buying, I worried about how OLEDs would perform in bright rooms, but those concerns disappeared quickly. Even with two windows letting in sunlight and the curtains open, the image remains vivid and sharp. Sound quality is decent, though I use a receiver, so that’s not a concern for me. I haven’t explored webOS much and probably won’t, so I can’t comment on the smart features. From the limited time I’ve spent with the TV and remote, everything seems straightforward enough. Overall, this OLED has exceeded my expectations—especially in picture quality—and I’m glad I made the switch.

It turned out to not be an issue probably in part due to the higher brightness of the C5 over prior versions. I have another 65" LG OLED that is 6 plus years old and still in excellent condition, so I don't have concerns on longevity.
