LG C5 77"

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent 4k picture quality and black levels. I was a bit hesitant to go with an OLED in this location due to higher room brightness. It turned out to not be an issue probably in part due to the higher brightness of the C5 over prior versions. I have another 65" LG OLED that is 6 plus years old and still in excellent condition, so I don't have concerns on longevity.

Rich colors and deep black make it extremely vivid

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The contrast of the rich colors and the deep blacks make the viewing experience extremely vivid. The smart features are very convenient and make hands free controlling your television easy with Amazon Alexa. It came with a free LG sound bar so the overall sound quality of the setup is excellent. My previous 70 inch LG was 10-20 lbs heavier due to being older and thicker. The new OLED 77 inch C5 is razor thin and awesome looking when wall mounted which was so easy due it being so light. The glass screen seems sturdier than the old LCD technology soft screen. I was still very scared to handle it while wall mounting it due to it being so thin but it installed great.

Hello. Thank you for sharing your thoughts about your LG TV. Love the way you described that vivid picture, hands‑free convenience, and the sweet bonus of the LG sound bar — that’s a home‑theater glow‑up right there. And yes, that razor‑thin 77" C5 can look intimidating during installation, but it sounds like you handled it like a pro and now get to enjoy the stunning result on your wall. C5 - The best TV I ever own

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I finally pulled the trigger on the C5 after months of research, and all I can say is WOW. I was expecting a difference coming from a high-end QLED, but the leap to true OLED is incredible. The C5 lives up to the hype—it's the best TV I've ever owned.

Excellent TV with great blacks and superb design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One of those TVs that immediately feels premium without trying too hard. The design is sleek and minima. The screen is full of rich color, movies and games have that extra bit of pop. And of course, it delivers those classic OLED deep blacks which are clean and free of any black-spot weirdness. C5 is a fantastic choice if you want a TV that looks great, performs even better, and feels like an upgrade the moment you turn it on.

Rough start great result

Out of the box, my TV was buggy. Sound would stop working (even the sound test was silent), it would disconnect from ARC, apps would crash (no remote function, except to change volume, settings, go to home screen). I downloaded the firmware from the website (which did nothing at first) then did the factory reset and viola, everything fixed. Why didn't LG support ever suggest this? (they only had me ungplug the TV which only temporarily fixes these issues). Why would I need to do this out of the box? Also, the mute button being on the volume down is really dumb-to lower my volume 20% I now have to individually hit volume down 20 times because I can't hold it for 2 seconds? Also, please attach the light sensor function to individual picture modes, I want full eye searing HDR when I want it and a nice dark picture when I want it, but the light sensor limits HDR brightness by default-really dumb-it's not just for power savings. Also setting all picture modes to +20 cold and color saturation to 60 is made everything look neon and the AI settings mode used tiny blurry images. The sound AI audio clips where so compressed and muddy that through the terrible built in speakers I just got a headache. Guys, please offer a better range of picture presets so we can have a good out of the box experience. Please fix the software updates. Please fix the mute button fiasco. I was 1 day away from a return.

Excellent OLED TV that I've ever owned

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this 77 inch C5 OLED TV for my living room. I was worried that it is quite bright during the day time but oh boy I was wrong. The color is vivid and sharp. It's very thin and sleek too.Mounting service it came with was the top notch. I would recommend this TV for everyone.

LG 77" C5 OLED – My Everyday Review

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m the kind of viewer who bounces between live sports, Netflix dramas, YouTube, old movies, and long gaming sessions on PS5 and Switch. After a month with the 77-inch LG C5, it’s become my do-it-all champ. **Picture: Perfect. Inky blacks make night games and dark shows look incredible, colors are rich but never cartoonish, and motion is buttery smooth, whether it’s a fast Premier League match or a 120 fps shooter. HDR movies (Dolby Vision) look stunning, and even regular cable looks sharper than it has any right to. **Gaming: It is ridiculously good, 4K/120 Hz, VRR, ALLM, and almost zero lag. I went from “pretty good” to “I can actually compete online” the day I plugged in the PS5. **Sound: This was the surprise. The built-in 40 W speakers with AI Sound Pro are crisp, voices are crystal-clear (no more subtitles for British shows!), and there’s decent bass for explosions and stadium crowds. It’s easily the best TV audio I’ve ever had out of the box. I still added a small soundbar for late-night movie sessions, but 80 % of the time I don’t need anything extra. **Daily use: webOS is lightning-fast, the Magic Remote pointer is addictive, and switching between apps, cable, and consoles takes seconds. *** One small note: in a super-bright sun-filled room, it’s good, not amazing, but turn the lights down or close the blinds and it’s unbeatable. *** /// Verdict: 5/5 for anyone who watches a bit of everything and games. Best all-rounder TV I’ve ever owned, and the sound actually lives up to the picture for once. Go for it. ///

Good viewing experience improvement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the LG C5 OLED for a bit now, and honestly it’s just a really good TV. It pretty much delivers what you’d expect from an LG OLED. Picture quality: The picture is the main reason to buy it. Blacks are actually black, contrast looks great, and colors pop without looking fake. HDR content looks especially nice, and even really dark scenes still have good detail instead of turning into a gray blur. Gaming: For gaming, it’s been excellent. HDMI 2.1, low input lag, VRR — all the important stuff is here. On Xbox, everything feels smooth and responsive, and fast games don’t get blurry. Design: The TV itself looks clean and modern with super thin bezels. It looks high-end. It’s also super thin and I guess I need to be careful to not break it accidentally. Sound: Could be better, but I have a sound bar so it doesn’t really matter to me. Others: The AI voice sounds robotic.

Good picture - bad experience

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] TV came and looked great, good picture quality. TV died within 24 hours of being hung on the wall. I noticed a small crack on the top left hand side of the screen and called to ask about it. The whole process to get it swapped out has been cumbersome and agitating. We're going over a month since my initial order and I just got an E-mail saying it'll be another 3-4 weeks.

Outstanding Picture!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just got done setting up my new 77C5 and I can't believe the picture. This TV adds a new dimension to watching football. Even mirroring my phone to the TV, the picture looks good. I was a little worried about the remote control, but it was pretty easy to pick up. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase.
