I was skeptical about this purchase but I love these sharp knives. i usually chicago cutlery but purchased these for our RV. Keeping 2 of these knives for home useage.

Love these knives! I was afraid they wouldn't be nice because they were so inexpensive but they are great! Very sharp and have a protector/cover for each knife. Bought a set for each of y daughters…

These are very sharp and sheath is high quality, I expect them to last a long time. Just the most useful sizes as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set of knives is amazing! It easily slices through ripe tomatoes that my other knives always squish. It also made short work of having chicken breasts. They also seem to hold their edge very nicely. The cussing board is also nice. I like the non stick feet so no matter what side you use it won't slide. It is the perfect size to be big enough to handle the whole job but small enough to be easily washed.

Nice (for being lower end) knives. Cutting board has non-slip backing, which is helpful, and also measurement marks. As other reviews have said, they are packaged very tightly- I'd recommend using something like a box cutter to free them.

The only thing sharper than these knives are the crazy packaging it comes in. I slice my finger open trying to free one of them, while also getting several smaller cuts from the random jagged tough-but-also-brittle razor-sharp pieces of plastic that is inevitable. If you buy these, also buy bleed stop and bandaids, you’re going to need them. The other reviewer said the online ones come packaged differently, go with that instead and save your fingers. They are pretty though, and having firstfinger experience, pretty dang sharp.

Nice knife set, but ... I purchased the white set online but decided to get the black set instead, so I went to the store and made the exchange. The online set comes in cardboard boxes, with each knife in its sheath in a plastic bag. The in-store version has the most ridiculous clamshell packaging I've ever seen, each knife and the cutting board individually completely sealed around in a way that makes it nearly impossible to open. It took me 45 minutes to free all the knives and the cutting board from the clamshell, and I feel fortunate to only have suffered two small cuts to my hands from the process. I considered just throwing away the cutting board rather than doing battle with the plastic, which is sealed not only around the edge of the board but through its handle as well. Just ridiculous. Two stars off for the horrible in-store packaging.

These knives were surprisingly good. I was actually looking for ceramic knives and my mistake for not reading the description closer. They are ceramic coated steel knives. They are incredibly sharp and cut well. The handles feel like suede/butter/smoothest wood ever BUT it’s a faux covering that starts to peel off with use. They still cut well but look horrible. I bought them for use on a boat (why I wanted ceramic) because even stainless steel knives have rusted onboard. So far, these have not rusted with almost daily use. The cover on the handles came off even though they are always hand washed. I’d have been more careful if I knew that.

Knifes are nice but I have the same problem with the other buyer having a difficult time to get through the package to get to the knifes. I have miner scratches but could be worse. How would an elderly person deal with this. I'm lucky I didn't have deep cuts from opening the plastic! I used several different scissors.

The ceramic coating started peeling off so I had to throw them away. I didn't want that chipping off in my food. Overall a waste of money.
